I'm curious about a regenerative future, and how we can support the inner and outer transformation we need to get there. An activist and social entrepreneur by background, I love having conversations that go deep into the kind of change we need. One day I thought I should start recording them to be able to share it with others.

Donnie Maclurcan: Why we don't need to change the monetary system for a Post-Growth Economy.

Donnie Maclurcan is the director of the Post Growth Institute, an international, not for profit organization working to enable collective wellbeing within ecological limits. When we met in person in 2019, he made an off-hand remark that has kept me curious for a while now, which is that the current monetary system is not a barrier to a post-capitalist society. I'm very grateful to him for taking the time to talk about this and allow me to explore this issue further. I can recommend listening to one of Donnie's public talks if you need a general orientation into this topic, such as this one or this one.
