    Pepper Spray as Discipline?

    Today’s topic has sparked controversy for decades. Each time a new incident involving injustice with juveniles arises, another name is added to the never-ending list of youth who have endured this type of unnecessary traumatic experience. Another victim added to the list is a nine-year-old girl from Rochester, New York who was peppered spray by police after her mother called authorities over her daughter throwing a temper tantrum. This incident sparked protest around the country and led Democratic State legislators to introduce a new bill that bans the use of chemical agents like pepper spray on anyone under the age of eighteen
