The Isrealites took some things that were under the ban and because of their disobedience, they were not able to stand before their enemies. Similarly, our disobedience could cost us and those connected to us. Furthermore, who we allow in our camp could negatively affect us and even the generations after us. We also see how God is highlighting that we cannot take our poverty mindset into the promised land. We built trust in the wilderness and we need to remain faithful in trusting Him and in our obedience. Lastly, covenant, vows, oaths, contracts, business partnerships, anywhere we come into agreement, matters to God, even if we enter into foolishly and without God's counsel. Discovering the vow we made or the contract or covenant we entered into was displeasing to God does not nullify it. We then have to stand and allow God to remedy our mistakes/rebellion.
