    Exploring the Liminal Spaces Betwixt and Between Booksmart and the Bell Jar

    In this episode, we incorporate insights gleaned from the likes of Turner and Tully into our discussion of characters represented in particularly feminist (or post-feminist) texts. In the movie Booksmart, Molly and Amy, the quintessential "best friends forever," are two high school seniors one day before their graduation. Molly is a great example of what Tully calls "trainwreck feminism."  In Sylvia Plath's roman å clef, The Bell Jar, Esther is a vivid illustration of how Friedan's "Problem With No Name" may have started for many women.
