Is It Wrong To Seek Honor?

Sermon preached by Rev. Canon Ambrose Looi on the 17th Sunday After Trinity Sunday, year 2026. The expository preaching from the parable in the Gospel passage helps us understand what it means to seek honor in the right way along with the right desire. The deadly sins of pride, sloth, and gluttony hinder us for a life of appropriate honor. When God wants to meet us, drawing us near to Him for union, we often miss Him because of such sins. Scripture reading: Proverbs 25.6-14; Ephesians 4.1-6; St. Luke 14.1-11
