Omgoodness y’all, I have literally been searching for other black people who care about mindfulness, self care, empathy and all of the things surrounding personal development. One of the core pillars in my coaching program is mindfulness and the audience I serve is mostly black women in EAST ST LOUIS, IL. If you know anything about this city you’ll know it’s definitely a city deprived of resources of all kinds. It’s my mission to bring mindfulness to my community to help with stress, anxiety and low vibrational states that usually comes from being surrounded all your life in underprivileged and under served communities. I love the episode with Dr. Shawn & I instantly downloaded his book “four pivots,” on audible. I love it so much! It’s so relatable and so refreshing to hear a familiar story from people who knows the struggle of black people. I’m so grateful for you all for creating this space to be authentic and cultural. Oh, I also downloaded the app “Blackfullness,”& can’t wait to use it. I’m so excited y’all. Hopefully we can actually connect one day because I would loveeeeeee to chat about all things mindfulness & culture with you both. Asé and much light.
