    The Path of Doing Right with Kelvin J. Cochran

    Our guest today is Kelvin J. Cochran—former Fire Chief of Atlanta and former Administrator of the United States Fire Administration under President Obama. We brought him on because his story goes straight to the heart of what is at stake in America right now. Raised in poverty in Shreveport, Louisiana, Cochran worked his way up through the ranks by hard work, discipline, and faith. He served with distinction. Then, while leading Atlanta's fire department, he wrote a book for a private Christian men's Bible study—laying out clear biblical truth about faith, marriage, family, and personal conduct. For that, he was fired in January 2015. This was never just about one man's job. It was about whether Americans—especially Christians—still have the right to live and speak according to their convictions without fear of punishment. Cochran refused to stay silent. He chose to stand. And that is exactly why his message matters today.
