I explain California's odd top-two voting system, the problems Democrats are having with it, and Ware's struggle to remain on the ballot. I draw conclusions from all of this about what happened behind the scenes and why alternative parties should prioritize voting method reforms over seeking ballot access or running candidates for higher office.
