    "For Zion's Sake: A Catholic Appeal in Support of Israel" is a passionate declaration by faithful Catholics countering the rising anti-Israel sentiment within Catholic circles, especially since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack. It rejects both political delegitimization of Israel (accusations of apartheid, colonialism, and genocide) and theological supersessionism that denies the Jewish people’s ongoing covenant and connection to the Land. Drawing on Scripture, Nostra Aetate, and post-conciliar teaching, it affirms God’s irrevocable promises to Israel, supports the legitimacy of the Jewish State, and calls Catholics to reject anti-Zionism as a form of antisemitism while upholding moral standards and concern for Palestinian suffering.     Stranded or Planted? Stuck inside and outside of Israel at war

    As the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is into its second week, closure of airspace has stranded many both inside and outside Israel. Rescue flights of Israelis have begun, bringing home thousands a day, but estimates are that 100,000 or more are stranded overseas. Many tourists in Israel and Israelis with business overseas have left via the Taba crossing, but many are still stuck. What’s it like for Americans who are not used to the realities of war being in Israel when the war began with missiles, rockets and drones raining down on Israel, daily, several or more times a day, sending people to bomb shelters at all hours?     The Echoes Bible: Read the Bible Again for the First Time
