YO, we're Shellez and Treva! We've been married for two years and after a rocky first year of marriage we realized we needed some ADVICE to help our marriage survive. We are a black lesbian married couple and we were looking for podcasts targeted to SGL couples and the unique needs of couples from the LGBTQIA+ community. While there were a number of podcasts that provided content for married couples, few addressed the lives and needs of LBGTQ married couples and far fewer spoke to the experiences of black and people of color in the community. So we made the podcast we needed!

    Episode 7 - #letthatISHTgo

    We are excited to be back and we are ready to chat with our framily! Oh, how we’ve missed you and we have SO MUCH to talk about!  In this episode, we are unpacking the phrase ‘letting go’. We have heard this saying often and we may have even used it ourselves as it relates to relationships and people, situations, mindsets, and habits. What exactly is meant by ‘letting go’?  How do we know when we need to let something go and what are the steps to ‘letting go’? This has come up as a topic in our relationship because we realized that we were each nursing wounds and harboring resentments that really were not serving to help us develop the loving and healthy marriage we each desire.  We've realized that if we are going to cultivate the marriage we aspire to, we would both need to learn to let some things go.   Please listen, like, subscribe share, and COMMENT!!!  We would love to know what you think!  If something resonates, drop us a note!  In the meantime, remember to stay in tune with your star player, drink your water, and mind your business!     Hey Framily!  Happy Labor Day!  Welcome to episode 4 - #GodandGays.   Shelley and I have a deep relationship with our faith and the church and we often have deep and long conversations about what it was like for us growing up in the church and loving the sense of community and connectedness we felt -- only to realize that we were attracted to the same sex AND now God HATED us for it! It's a complex relationship that the 'Black' Christian church has with LGBTQ+ community *aka* 'gay folk. On this episode, we are sitting down with our guests, Rev.
