    Big Money Friday is back and the boys are doing what they do best, taking something simple and turning it dumb. It's Name DAY. Band names. Member names. Sandwich names. Nothing is safe. Matt is firing off options like he’s running a focus group, Nick is overconfidently declaring winners after hearing them once, and somehow every idea gets worse and better at the exact same time.  This is chaotic, yet decisive, and deeply (un?)Serious in the way only Insuphishient can pull off. This episode is pure type 2. A little ridiculous (Thanks Matt!). A little genius (I mean Nick is in it). The kind of conversation that starts as a joke and ends with you accidentally believing one of these names should be trademarked immediately(True).     Insuphishient is a podcast by two American podcast hosts, Matt and Nick, which was recorded live, both in spirit and actually,  somewhere between text messages and microphones on a random weekday in January 2026. This stretch of Insuphishient will always be remembered by listeners as the loose era, during which the show deemphasized its more technical segments and structured games in favor of more ambient conversation, groove based takes, and extended space improvisations. Some of this was predicated on the show’s transition from a tightly packed bit driven podcast, then to flowing segments, and finally to something closer to arena level wandering, which required a shift in approach and overall sound. This episode was instantly a host and listener favorite, and versions of it had been discussed long before the current iteration of the show was fully conceived. Among listeners, the episode is already being considered one of the strongest in the show’s history. Within the Insuphishient community, it is quietly being talked about as a top tier entry when stacked against the hundreds of conversations Matt and Nick have recorded over the years. Bonus moments include a few extended tangents not originally part of the main thread, recorded elsewhere in time, featuring a long wandering section that goes on far longer than expected and rewards anyone who sticks around to the end.     Over the weekend a great musician passed and the world is quieter because of it. The rooms feel a little emptier. The notes hang a little longer. We are all, without question, a little worse off. So Matt and Nick show up. Not to fix it. Not to explain it. Just to sit with it for a while and help say goodbye the only way they know how. Talking it out. Letting the thoughts drift in. Letting the music do what it has always done for people who care too much. This episode is reflective without being heavy.  A reminder that the people who make the soundtrack to our lives never really leave, even when they do. Their fingerprints stay on everything. On the way we listen. On the way we gather. On the way we feel less alone in a room full of strangers. Matt and Nick are here to help say goodbye.     Well folks, 2025 is officially closed and somehow everyone got what they wanted. Nick definitely did. A debut. Finally.  While Nick was "Cream"ing his jeans, Matt slipped effortlessly back into his signature role as Baby New Year. "Waaah. Waaah." All jokes aside, MSG has seen a lot over the years. Legendary runs. Historic moments. Wild experiments. This one lands as the best album of shows. Front to back. No skips. It is going to take a while to unpack everything that happened, but for now we offer the immediate hot takes from two guys who are not qualified to operate the McFlurry machine at McDonalds.     Locked in. Loaded up. The second night of the 2025 New Years run is in the books and Nick and Matt are here to talk about it. Trey looked healthier. Mike wore a vest. Fish showed up in a dress. Page kept his sleeves rolled all the way down again.  As 2025 starts to close here is what we know.  Not counting Big Cypress, the highest rated Phish show ever happened this July at SPAC. No shock there.  Zero Phish debuts. Shocking. Finally, As you get ready for tonight take a second. Be grateful. Feel blessed. You are loved.     Yeah you know me. But seriously yes. Yes I am. In the food flavoring world and in the Square Garden variety. Same heat. Different kitchens. Night one is in the books, and night two. Whatever.     It is December 26 and the New Years engine is already running. I could be wrong but I swear this is how it goes. Phish wakes up, meets at MSG, and the whole city clicks into that special frequency. Trey is quietly building the gag. Mike is already in the zone. Fish is steering the ship with a grin. Page is turning normal air into electricity. Four friends, one room, one mission. New Years mode. And that is exactly where Insuphishient lives today. This episode is a little peek behind the curtain. Not a lecture. Not a recap. More like you are standing in the hallway while the band warms up and the building starts breathing. We have had some heaters over the years, but if you want the feeling that the run is about to begin, this is the one. Holiday blues? We have a cure. The Blues.
