The One with the Fires🔥 - Chattin' with Coach Amy

Does anybody else feel like life is just one fire after another? Marriage, kids, work, health, relationships, schedules... sometimes it's ALL happening at once! This week on Chattin' with Coach Amy, Darlene and I are talking about what happens when life gets messy and how we can keep taking care of ourselves right in the middle of it.We're chatting about perspective, consistency, emotional eating, learning from hard seasons, and why your healthy habits don't have to become another thing you're struggling to manage.I'm also sharing some of my favorite practical ways to simplify healthy eating when life gets overwhelming, including my Stress-Free Ideas List. Because sometimes you just need to make some spaghetti and move on with your life! 😂And, of course, we get into faith, community, forgiveness, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who want to see you win. Here's something I hope you remember: You don't have to put out every fire before you can start taking care of yourself.🦋 Butterfly Season begins October 18! We're spending four weeks working through the 7 Skills to Lasting Health and learning how to make healthy living work in YOUR season of life.Learn more at https://southernandhealthycoaching.com/butterfly-seasonThanks for chattin' with us, y'all! 💕Season 6 Episode 10Please visit my website to check out the health and wellness coaching opportunities I have currently and coming up: https://southernandhealthycoaching.com/

The One with the Whys - Chattin' with Coach Amy

Why do we keep doing the things we say we want to stop doing? Why do we know what to do but still struggle to actually DO it? And why are we so quick to call ourselves failures when a season doesn't turn out the way we expected?Darlene is back with me this week, and we're asking a whole lot of WHYS.We talk about discouragement, decision fatigue, perfectionism, mindset, doing the hard thing, and learning to get curious about what's really underneath our choices. I also share more personally about my recent decision to step away from my full-time role with Trim Healthy Mama, what God has been teaching me through it, and why I am learning that changing direction does not mean the season was a failure. One of my favorite reminders from this conversation is that you are practicing. You're practicing eating well. You're practicing drinking your water. You're practicing taking care of yourself. You're going to mess up because you're learning—and messing up does not make you a failure. We also talk about Philippians 3:12–14 and what it looks like to stop living in the past and press forward into whatever God has next. And if you're in a season where you feel stuck, overwhelmed or like healthy has become way too complicated, Butterfly Season may be exactly what you need. It's four weeks of group coaching designed to help you make healthy feel simple again. Come sit, soak, learn, ask questions and implement what you can. 💗Get more information and Join Butterfly Season HERE: https://southernandhealthycoaching.com/butterfly-seasonSeason 6 Episode 9Please visit my website to check out the health and wellness coaching opportunities I have currently and coming up: https://southernandhealthycoaching.com/

The One with Me Myself & Darlene - Feelings Aren't Real

This week on Chattin’ with Coach Amy, there is no guest—just me and my assistant Darlene doing what we do best: talking. 😂 And somehow a conversation that started with LMNT and LaCroix, workouts and whether or not motivation can be trusted turned into one of the most personal episodes I have recorded. We talk about why action often has to come BEFORE motivation, how much mental space we waste putting off things that would take us 15 minutes to finish, and why sometimes the best thing we can do is simply stop giving ourselves so many options.I also share more about my decision to step away from my full-time corporate role with Trim Healthy Mama, why I knew it was time for a change, and what I am learning about embracing the season God has me in now. I am still an Executive Coach, still consulting with THM, still directing the conference—and very excited about what is ahead for Southern & Healthy. The conversation also gets a little tender as I talk about missing my daddy, facing my first Christmas without him, and what his life taught me about continuing to actively participate in my own life even when things are hard. You do not have to feel motivated first. You do not have to have everything figured out. Sometimes you just have to take the next step.Season 6 Episode 8Please visit my website to check out the health and wellness coaching opportunities I have currently and coming up: https://southernandhealthycoaching.com/
