    MONDAY MAILTIME: The Thing That Circled Our Boat & The Harvest Corner We Can't Cut

    Two listeners. Two encounters with something owed a share and what happens when the debt goes unpaid. Merryn, a Jersey fisherwoman, breaks the one rule her father was fierce about: never count the catch aloud at sea. Within minutes, fog rolls in from a clear sky, and something heavy circles the boat just out of sight. Her father calmly puts his three best fish back into the water, murmurs in the old island tongue and the moment the third goes over, the sound stops and the fog lifts. Then Wyatt, a Kansas farmer, always leaves a small patch of the last field uncut — “the old one’s share.” The year a hired man cuts it, a dry rustling like wind through wheat moves through his barn, then his walls. His six-year-old describes “the tall man made of straw” at the foot of his bed, dripping grain, real grains found on the floor each morning.     MEET THE MOST HAUNTED TEAM PART 1: Why Does It Always Happen When We’re Around?

    A disused courthouse and police station in Accrington. The gates are locked from the inside and only two men are in the building. Then the doors start slamming. Footsteps run down empty corridors, and voices echo through the courtrooms. For forty minutes they chase the noise, convinced someone has broken in. Then they come back to find the camera and tripod they left in a corner have vanished. For more than twenty years, a small band of brave, loyal and slightly bonkers people have followed Yvette Fielding into the most frightening buildings in the world. This week, for the first time, she hands them the microphone. Producer and director Karl Beattie, sound man Darren, cameraman Greg Smith, investigator Stuart and open-minded sceptic Glen Hunt gather around a table with a few stories of its own. They talk about something breathing in their ears at the Leopard Inn, with nowhere left to run. They remember a wheelchair smashing across a corridor and a death rattle Glen can still hear to this day. Yvette is shoved back and forth in the human pendulum. A huge iron table floats, and a wooden floor rolls like waves beneath their feet. And there’s the chair that very nearly took Glen’s head clean off.     YVETTE INVESTIGATES: Two Floors of Absolute Insanity at the Old Bank House
