    The host of Pray4Philly.com, Shine Lite, interviews Comedian Billy Ricks who has been shot 21 times, to understand why our young black men are so attracted to this culture of gun violence; how we can heal our communities; and how we can break the back of gun violence in Philadelphia and other cities plagued with this crisis. Pray4Philly.com is an initiative created in response to the Genocide that is happening in the streets of Philadelphia. To date there have been 300 homicides in Philly alone, surpassing Chicago’s homicide rates. Every morning since June 1st, 2021 members of the community have called in at 6 am to pray for the healing and destruction of gun violence in the city of Philadelphia. Prayers are followed by daily meditation and an open forum that allows everyone to join in conversations to discuss solutions and call to action to gun violence.
