    Aug 22: Stittsville's newest school

Good morning! Today I’m in front of École élémentaire publique Cassiopée – Stittsville’s newest elementary school. It’s located in Westwood at the corner of Cope and Dagenham. It opens to students this week, along with other french-language schools in Stittsville. A reminder to drivers to slow down, put your phone away, and follow traffic and parking rules, especially near schools. And good luck to students heading back to class!   Bonjour! This week’s updates: Tomorrow, August 23: Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on Sunday at 11am at Village Square ParkToday: 10th Anniversary of parkrun in CanadaToday: Sweet Corn FestivalAugust 25: OC Transpo customer info session; OC Transpo fall service changesAugust 7: Music & Movies in the Park (Stittsville Village Association)Check out the draft plans for Fernbank District ParkIntroducing “Stittsville Neighbour Days”, September 18-27Thank you Erica Wiebe, and thank you Kiwanis!  Have an excellent week!   –Councillor Glen
