    Finding the Fire Within - The Self-Love Philosphy

    Someone recently asked me what self-love looks like. It was something I had to sit with for a while before I could give an honest answer; I'm still working on the self-love piece in my own life. In this episode, I discuss the belief systems that we carry with us since childhood and help you discover your belief system through a short, guided activity. Once you identify your self-love narrative or your belief system, I give you my philosophy on self-love. You won't find any superficial guidelines in this episode. It's meant to give you the starting point to love yourself in a way that's real, that's deep, that's long-lasting.     Hacking the "New Year, New Me" Mindset

    Why do people love New Year's Resolutions? Why do we get so hype for, "New Year New Me?"  Honestly, I am not a fan of the New Year New Me mindset, however I am aware that I love the energy behind it. I think it's possible to change at any given moment. Why do we wait for a brand new year when we can do it at any point?     Honoring the Life of Nathaniel Kidd - A Mother's Perspective on Depression

    How do you find the courage to discuss a topic that weighs so heavily? In this episode, I sit down with Michele Kidd, a mother and educator, as she courageously tells us about the loss of her son, Nathaniel, to suicide. Michele has created Nate’s Story, a non-profit organization, in order to honor Nate’s life and create awareness on mental health and suicide. This episode peels back the layers of  depression as Michele reveals her insight and perspective, unfortunately, through her experience with Nate. Nate’s Story has developed the hashtag, #keeptalking, and Michele leads by example as she tells us Nate’s childhood symptoms and signals, the generational gaps in parenting, and her proactive path for having the conversations with our younger generations. Michele wants people to know that it doesn’t need to reach the point of suicide, instead we can give people the gift of awareness and understanding, along with strategies and skills, to help cope with depression, as well as erase the stigma surrounding it.     Episode Ten - Living Authentically with Ariel Brigandi

    Have you ever witnessed someone step into his or her greatness? It's a true-glow up, from the inside out. The outside appearance becomes a reflection of the inner self, and you're left feeling inspired in his or her presence. That's how I felt when having this conversation with business owner, Ariel Brigandi. Ariel was one of the pioneers for women in this area, opening her own barber shop, Brigandi's Barbering Company, at the young age of 26.  Her vision to create a  work environment that centers on valuing customers and employees was designed  during her own journey to become the truest version of herself.  She speaks about the importance of living as your authentic self, leaving what no longer serves you, putting in the work, and developing self-awareness in order to create the changes necessary for your own life. Ariel's energy is contagious.
