    Laverne's journey through a mental health crash that lead him down a spiritual path to his true self.

    Laverne Friesen is a former Firefighter & Law Enforcement Officer whom was forced into therapy after having a mental health crash that took him to the brink of suicide. Laverne embraced therapy and began to peel back the layers, that a lifetime of trauma had built up, around his true self. In the process Laverne discovered that we all suffer, and began to question “What are we doing to each other?” Laverne’s journey of recovery took him places that he would have never imagine. Now, trained as a reiki healer and a yoga teacher, Laverne believes that his purpose is to help others heal. Laverne is most interested in helping men overcome the stigma around mental health, and help others find their true selves.

    Kevin McNee: His journey from the oil patch/business world to becoming a Transformational Leader and Men's Wellness Coach

    Kevin McNee is a Transformational Leader & Mentor. Kevin’s story is very similar to many men in society, which was to do what you are “supposed” to do, and that will lead to success and happiness. Graduate, go to college, get a job, get married, have kids, and work hard till you can afford to retire.  He was “living the dream!” Someone else’s dream. Realizing that chasing someone else’s dreams were leading to him to feel unsatisfied, unfulfilled and drained, he chose to walk a different path, a path of service. Helping, Guiding and Supporting men that are chasing dreams that aren’t theirs, struggling to find clarity, and unsure of where to turn, Kevin is dedicated to changing what it means to “be a man” in the modern world.

    Chad's journey of overcoming internal conflicts to shift the perspective within his life and self

    Episode 2 with Chad McPherson - Chad has faced many challenges and unfortunate events in his life. Losing his mother to suicide as a teen, and shortly there after becoming paralyzed in a motor cross accident. Chad battled addiction throughout his life. In the years to follow he was in and out of treatment centers and had multiple hospital visits. He battled addition and struggled to find his purpose in life, which led to multiple suicide attempts. It wasn't until these past 2 years, where he realized that using drugs to escape, looking outward to blame external circumstances or moving cities, thinking it was going to fix things were not going to solve the problems. He now practices looking inward, working on himself and maintaining a healthy balance in life.
