    We continue our Black Men series with Sean Anthony Bryant,  an NYC-based content creator.  Sean Anthony talks about intersectionality,  self-expression via Auntie wigs, how his childhood experiences playing baseball led his father to start a Little League team, Afro-Caribbean erasure in US history and media,* napping, and the benefits of video journaling.     Somebody Book Randy Watson: The Children Are Our Future

    We continue our Black Men series with Everette, a critical voice and teacher in secondary education. Everette talks about the great adventures and travails of attending Howard University, the gifted and talented to overwhelmed in college pipeline, equipping big fish young people to be in a  pond of even bigger fish, the revolutionary justice of providing safe spaces for young people, and his love of being a husband and father. This episode is dedicated to all of Gigi Lauryn's former students. You are forever special and forever beloved.

    Post-Paycheck Clarity: High Value Relationships

    We continue our Black Men series with Marvin, a menswear professional. Gi Gi questions Marvin about his perspective on all types of relationships: with self, friends, professional colleagues, and of course romantic relationships. They discuss the pitfalls of the Red Pill community and the "High-Value Man" ideology. Marvin also describes the winding journey that led to celebrating his 30th birthday while living out of a car,  the awe-inspiring experience of having a date butter his bread, and the rewards of doing "shadow work" in therapy.

Aū reflects on the power of changing his 9 to 5 life, taking risks, the deep spirituality of a particular film, and breaking up with his therapist. This episode was recorded in Summer 2020, 3 months before the Presidential election and in the midst of the 2020 Uprising.
