Never an Adversary, Always our Advocate

The parallel stories of Job's suffering and Jesus's salvation message reveal profound truths about God's love and redemptive plan for humanity. Job, who lost everything as a test of faith, serves as a powerful example of maintaining trust in God despite facing multiple adversaries - including Satan, betraying friends, a doubting wife, and his own misconceptions about God's role in his suffering. His experience mirrors important aspects of God's ultimate plan for salvation through Jesus Christ. Through both narratives, we see God's consistent character of love and redemption rather than condemnation. Job recognized his need for a heavenly witness, foreshadowing Jesus's role as our perfect advocate with the Father. This understanding transforms our perspective on suffering, showing that trials don't push us outside God's will but rather invite us to experience His power more fully. When viewed through this lens, our challenges become opportunities to deepen our trust in God and experience His love more profoundly.

What Truth Can Awkward Silence Reveal?

When God appears silent in our lives, it can feel like abandonment, but these periods often serve a greater purpose in our spiritual journey. Job's story demonstrates how divine silence can test and strengthen our faith, leading to deeper spiritual maturity and understanding. Through his experience, we learn the importance of discerning between human wisdom and God's truth, especially when facing trials and suffering.Job's response to suffering provides a powerful model for believers today. His story teaches us that authentic faith persists even in apparent divine silence, and that we can be honest with God about our pain while maintaining trust in His sovereignty. While Job didn't have the complete revelation of Christ, modern believers can find additional comfort in knowing Jesus and His work on the cross, providing security in eternal salvation and peace in understanding that God works all things for good. This knowledge helps transform periods of silence from times of despair into opportunities for spiritual growth and ministry to others.

The art of contrast. The Gospel of Mark, chapter 6.

Is Jesus powerful everyday or just some days? Should we trust that He has our best interests in mind, even when life presents challenges that we view as insurmountable? I think the Gospel/Biography of Mark in chapter 6 helps us think through these difficult questions with some resounding answers. Thanks for joining me.

    Accepting the challenge continued.

We finish up taking the win 2-0, but before we take a victory lap we need to be prepared.

Did he just say that Jesus never mentioned hell once in the Gospels? Challenge accepted.

Hi and blessings to you all. We have gotten back to our roots with leveling up the Biblical literacy of the body of Christ. I read a pastor make this questionable claim on social media and could not pass up the opportunity to help all of us equip ourselves with the discernment to correct this false teaching. Walk with me through the 7 woes of Jesus.

Irredeemable? pt. 2 Life after abortion

Another very difficult conversation, the Irredeemable series tackles the reality of abortion and if that makes someone irredeemable. Thank you so much for spending a moment of your time with me in Scripture to seek Biblical answers to tough questions. Bless you
