    Pretend You’ve Got No Money /  Par Alicja Rogalska /  Visite secrète de supermarché /  du 15 septembre au 15 octobre 2022 /  Conçue pour perturber nos habitudes d’achat quotidiennes, la visite vous invite à avoir un autre type de relation avec votre supermarché local, en le traitant comme une scénographie prête à l’emploi pour un récit sinueux, ludique et légèrement chorégraphique sur la politique de la production alimentaire, la distribution et consommation. Parmi les sujets abordés figurent: la théorie de la distinction de classe de Bourdieu, les émeutes du pain, la neurologie politique du dégoût, la grande famine irlandaise, le rôle des bananes dans la guerre civile colombienne, la main-d’œuvre agricole migrante, l’automatisation, les cultures liées au changement climatique, la psychologie des habitudes d’achat et le blocus de Mussolini sur les pâtes. /  Redéveloppé en 2021 par Artsadmin pour What Shall We Build Here festival, Pretend You’ve Got No Money by Alicja Rogalska a été créé pour un supermarché local à Flemingsberg, Suède, un projet de Local Minima avec Vision Forum. /    Version francophone enregistrée à Radio Panik. Prise de son et montage par Leslie Doumerx, avec la voix de Noémie Zurletti. Présenté en Belgique dans le cadre de Feral, organisé par le Cifas. /

    Pretend You’ve Got No Money / By Alicja Rogalska / An unauthorised, undercover audio tour of your local supermarket / Conceived to introduce disruption into daily shopping habits, the tour invites you to have a different kind of engagement with your local supermarket, treating it as a ready made scenography for a meandering, playful and mildly choreographic narrative on the politics of food production, distribution and consumption. Amongst the subjects covered are: Bourdieu’s theory of class distinction, bread riots, political neurology of disgust, the Great Irish Famine, the role of bananas in the Colombian civil war, migrant agricultural labour, automation, climate change crops, the psychology of shopping habits and Mussolini’s ban on pasta. / Re-developed in 2021 by Artsadmin as part of What Shall We Build Here festival, Pretend You’ve Got No Money by Alicja Rogalska was originally designed for a local supermarket in Flemingsberg, Sweden as part of a Local Minima project with Vision Forum. / Narrated by Anna-Maria Nabirye.
