CED talks about whatever comes up. Sometimes with guests; sometimes as a loner. It's all about Peoria, IL; whether the discussion is directly about Peoria, or something else, something about Peoria is the theme. I'll even upload some of the vodcasts created in this studio by better creators. Someone said I had shiny ball syndrome.

    Perspectives #1

Everyone has a right to their political views. In the U.S. everyone is permitted to not only have their views, but to express them as well. The line of questioning here? Does every opinion have to be expressed? Does every question have to be answered? Who decides the questions? Does venue determine the impetus to ask and answer questions? Using Claudine Gay, the former President of Harvard University, and professor of Government and of African and African-American Studies as a focal point for this short talk, we don't believe that every question has to be answered, especially considering the venue and premise of the quetioning. Let's not ignore the subject matter of her teaching and how the latter is being openly slashed from curriccula around the country in high-political fashion. Having been cornered and asked questions that didn't deserve contemplation further than the practiced responses; especially considering the venue and intents of the questioners, The Magalog muses whether the venue was leverage for something else, and the line of questioning was beyond the scope of the former President's pervue. Claudine Gay's role in the venue of The United States Congress was to answer questions for the University (in the University's voice) on political questions already clearly answered by the University, with Claudine Gay's voice. She was not the only one to be ostracized in such dramatic fashion. The public abuse of several other administrators who had shared that same forum and were removed from their positions were removed expeditiously. Harvard stuck by Ms. Gay up to the day she quit. If you have never felt the pressure of being chased by interlocutory persecutors, you may struggle to understand the message presented. If you have, then you can see how this plays in Peoria.

    Renee's 1st Vodcast

No surprises here. Renee Waller, owner of Selfie Space in downtown Peoria, Il, is indeed a star. CED thought he'd bring her in and keep the workload light for Renee. She didn't need the leeway, as she was prepared for live broadcast. Damar Hamlin,  employees stealing clients, is downtown really customer friendly, and more in this episode.  This is the Magalog, brought to you by https://www.peoria.life/peoria-life-collective and https://selfiespacepeoria.com/product/beautiful-me-workshop/

    Pithy Magalog

Pepsi isn't the only popular soda. Just like Nike isn't the only popular shoe brand. You're not the only (insert your profession) unless you are; and they're going to do it as well, if someone thinks they can do it and be profitable. Some folks needlessly worry about others' so-called flexing on social media. I'd rather be happy with them and get close enough to learn something new. If you have an issue with others' success then I recommend you follow King Solomon's sage warning about vanity, as there's, '...Nothing new under the sun...' unless it's your new attitude.

The Kung Fool of Comedy Eddy Parker Guests

Peoria Park District Police Officer, bodyguard, Kung Fu legend and comedian (forgive me for missing any qualifications) Eddy Parker whizzed through the studio just before going on stage at the Peoria Civic Center as the opener for comedy superstar, Deray Davis. As usual, we didn't stick to any script. Eddy just took flight in conversation...and just as abrubtly, vanished. From all reports it was a great show that I wish I could have seen. I have video, though. This is the Randomest.

They Don't See You The Way You see You

If you're like most family oriented business folks, you would love to have the people closest to you as involved as possible in your endeavors. What is happening, though, is the lack of buy in from the ones who would benefit the most from what you're working to accomplish. They may even be doing or saying things that distract you or harm your project, just because they don't get you and your end goals. Don't let that lackluster response slow or deter you. There's something waiting for you on the other side of these moments that will wow them...in time. You just have to keep chucking quarters into the great Gumball Machine called inspired effort. It's still your race to run.
