    In That Day (Luke 17:31-37)

    Luk 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife. Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.     Lights In The World (Philippians 2:14-18)

    Believers are lights in this world because we dwell in Christ and serve His cause by faith. Believers shine in the darkness of this world not because of what we do and don't do but because of who and what we are and, especially, whose we are.

    Luk 17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Luk 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

    To Will And To Do (Philippians 2:12, 13)

    The Apostle Paul is not implying that men and women can work towards their own salvation in these verses. Rather he is showing that the God who lives and dwells in the hearts and lives of His people is willing and doing His purpose in our lives to the glory of His name.

    At The Name Of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11)

    The God-Man, our Lord Jesus Christ, has been given a name a name above every name. He has been glorified by His Father above all things in heaven, on earth and under the earth because He finished the work He was commissioned to do. Christ glorified His Father by coming to Redeem His people from their sins and His Father glorified His Son for accomplishing that work.

    The Ten Lepers (Luke 17:11-19)

    Luk 17:11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Luk 17:12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: Luk 17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. Luk 17:14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Luk 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, Luk 17:16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. Luk 17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Luk 17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. Luk 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

    Equal With God (Philippians 2:5-8)

    Paul is encouraging humility amongst the Lord's people. He tells them to 'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus'. Following Christ's example is the measure of a believer's life. The Apostle goes on to show how Christ's incarnation, suffering and death exemplifies true humility and in so doing provides a beautiful account of the Lord Jesus Christ's divinity.
