What's it like living in the 10th? (métro Commerce)

In this episode, we are heading back to the 15th. It's such a large arrondissement that there is so much to talk about! I speak with my longtime friend, Forest Collins, who actually lives close to four metro stations but prefers to take the line 12 at métro Commerce. Forest Collins, aka 52 Martinis, is a Paris-based cocktail expert and France Chair for the World's 50 Best bars. She has a blog, a podcast and an iOS app guide to Paris cocktail bars. Her first book, “Drinking Like a Local Paris,” will be hitting bookstores very soon. https://52martinis.com/ Join us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/parisundergroundradio Find Us Online Website: https:/parisundergroundradio.com/parisestateofmind Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/parisundergroundradio Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/parisundergroundradio/ Credits Host: Gail Boisclair. @PerfectlyParis; Website: PerfectlyParis, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.Host: Marie Pistinier. What's it like living in the 10th? (métro Jaurès)

We’ve visited the 10th arrondissement and mètro Jaurès before, but never together! Luckily, Tanisha Townsend lives in this magical overlap. Find out why Tanisha lives in the 10th, where she lived before, and where she could go if she could go anywhere! Tanisha is Chief Wine Officer and founder of GirlMeetsGlass, a wine lifestyle and education agency based in Paris. Originally from the US, Tanisha creates wine experiences for expats and tourists alike. What's it like living in the 20th? (métro Gambetta)

The 20th is another arrondissement that gets mixed reviews, so we decided to speak with Roopa Chauhan about what it's like living there. She's minutes away from metro Gambetta and is very enthusiastic about where she lives. Listen to find out why! Roopa is a writer and translator based in Paris and Detroit. She is also a future podcast host on the Paris Underground Radio network so be sure to check the website for her details. What's it like living in the 14th? (métro Alésia)

When the Comte de Saint-Germain said he’d like to share his thoughts about the 14th with our listeners, we jumped at the chance. Because, t’s true, when Marie and I did a quick overview of this arrondissement, we didn't have much to say! Monsieur le Compte lives by metro Alésia and I think you will be very interested in what he says about the area. I know that I learnt a lot! The question is, though, where would he live if the Apartment Fairy Godmother gave him his choice of anywhere in Paris? Listen to find out! Discover more about the Comte de Saint-Germain on his website https://walk.paris/ or on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/walk.paris/ Here is a link to listen to his audio tours: https://voicemap.me/publisher/comte-de-saint-germain. What's it like living in the 4th (métro Saint Paul)

What a pleasure to have one of my oldest friends in Paris, Preston Mohr, on the podcast to talk about living in the 4th, at mètro Saint Paul! You may know this area, as it's a popular spot for tourists, but what is it like for a full-time resident? In addition to talking about his neighborhood, Preston also shares some of the advice he gleaned when he was looking to buy a place of his own in Paris. Preston Mohr has a passion for wine which he turned into a career after pursuing an education in the industry. He is now the Director of Sales & Marketing at Wine Scholar Guild. What's it like living in the 13th (métro Olympiades)

The 13th arrondissement is often overlooked simply because most people don't know a lot about it. In this episode, I have a great chat with Heather Stimmler, who has lived in the area for almost two decades. You will probably be surprised to hear everything Heather shares with us and it may make you want to check out the 13th yourself! The question is, however, would Heather would choose to live there if she could live anywhere she wanted to in Paris…? Be sure to have a look at Heather's fabulous website, Secrets of Paris, https://secretsofparis.com/ and follow her on Instagram for 'real' secrets of Paris https://www.instagram.com/secretsofparis/ Join us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/parisundergroundradio Find Us Online Website: https:/parisundergroundradio.com/parisestateofmind Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/parisundergroundradio Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/parisundergroundradio/ Credits Host: Gail Boisclair. @PerfectlyParis; Website: PerfectlyParis, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.Host: Marie Pistinier. Flood Risks

What are the flood risks when purchasing a place in Paris? This is a question we’ve been asked a lot recently, so we decided to do a podcast on this very topic. First, don't worry! Paris won’t become the next Atlantis any time soon. Listen in for advice concerning which areas are most at risk for flooding and what to do when the water rises.
