Leaders can recover from low engagement by being "human-centered"—recognizing workers as whole people with lives outside of work. Is he concerned about the connection levels, the metaphors, the lesson and application? What call to action would follow that story? Leadership instruction often has similar challenges and characteristics. The request or requirement seems disassociated from the project, the purpose or even worse the people. It’s time to get to know the HUMAN element of the team again.
