    3. Partnering With The Holy Spirit

Have you ever wanted to talk to someone about Jesus but worried you wouldn’t know what to say? God is already at work. Our part is to notice and join Him. In Week 3 of Show & Tell: The Practice of Witnessing, we explore how Philip’s encounter with an Ethiopian official in Acts 8 helps us learn to partner with the Holy Spirit in everyday conversations. Listen. Look. Ask. Risk. We can love people, pray for them, ask thoughtful questions, and share the good news about Jesus—while trusting God with the response. You can feel afraid and still take a faithful step. This week, ask God to help you notice one person, listen to their story, and take the next step as the Holy Spirit leads. “Holy Spirit, I am willing. Help me notice what You are doing.” Scripture: Acts 8:26–38; 1 Corinthians 2:3–5. 2. Relational Evangelism

Some of the most important conversations in our lives began with someone who cared enough to listen. Someone showed up. Invited us over. Remembered what we were walking through. Made room for our questions. This week in Show & Tell, we watched Jesus do exactly that. In Luke 19, Jesus noticed Zacchaeus, called him by name, and entered his home. An encounter with Jesus changed his life. Relational evangelism begins with relationship. Think about the people already in your life: your neighbors, coworkers, classmates, friends, and family. How many people are far from God but close to you? You don’t need to have every answer to take a step. Keep praying. Make time. Listen well. Serve with love. Be willing to share what Jesus has done in your life. This week, choose one person you’ve been praying for and take one intentional step toward connection. A text. A coffee. A meal. An unhurried conversation. Who comes to mind? #ShowAndTell #CLifeChurch #RelationalEvangelism #LoveYourNeighbor #FaithInAction

    1. Plan A

Who first told you about Jesus? Behind our story of faith is often someone who chose to share what God had done in their life. Now we can be part of that story for someone else. In the opening message of Show & Tell: The Practice of Witness, we explore Jesus’ call to be His witnesses—people who share what they have seen, heard, and experienced while following Him. Through Acts 1:8 and Psalm 40, we discover how our experiences with God can help others come to trust Him. Being a witness begins with love. That love moves us to share our stories, notice the people around us, and depend on the power of the Holy Spirit. In this message, we explore: What it means to be a witness for Jesus. How your story can point others toward God. Why love can move us to act even when we feel afraid. How prayer prepares our hearts to share the good news of Jesus. This week’s challenge: Identify three to five people you care about who are not yet following Jesus. Write down their names and begin praying for them daily, from now until Christmas. Consider what they may be facing. Ask God to help you love them as He does and to open opportunities to show and tell them about Jesus. Scripture references: Luke 19:10 Acts 1:8 Psalm 40:1–3, 9–10 Romans 10:1 2 Corinthians 5:14 Join us throughout this series as we learn to share our faith with the people already in our everyday lives. #CLife #ShowAndTell #ShareYourFaith

    5. Service as Witness

What does following Jesus look like in everyday life? Sometimes it looks like bringing a meal, offering a ride, helping a neighbor, or sitting with someone who is hurting. In the closing message of CLife’s series, Hands & Feet: The Practice of Serving, we explore service as a witness for the Gospel. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus came to us, took our sin upon Himself, died, and rose again. Through Him, we can be forgiven, restored to relationship with God, and given new life. That good news needs to be shared. Our lives can help people see what our words mean. In this message, we explore: • How practical service makes our faith visible. • What Jesus means when He calls us the light of the world. • Why we serve people out of love, without expecting anything in return. • How to be ready to explain our hope with gentleness and respect. This week’s challenge: Think of someone you already know and ask, “What burden could I help carry?” Then take one practical step to make their life a little lighter. We serve because Jesus served. We love because Jesus loves. Scripture references: Matthew 5:14–16 Mark 10:45 Acts 1:8 1 Peter 2:12 Acts 9:36 2 Corinthians 9:12–13 1 Peter 3:15 Join us at CLife for our next series, Show & Tell, as we explore how to share the good news of Jesus with our words. #CLife #HandsAndFeet #ServingOthers

    4. People, Not Projects

Have you ever felt like someone’s project instead of someone they wanted to know? In week four of Hands & Feet: The Art of Serving, we explore how Jesus served people with dignity, compassion, and love. Following His example means paying attention to both what we do and how we treat the people we serve. Through the parable of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16, we are invited to see the person behind the circumstances. Jesus gives the overlooked man a name—a reminder that every person has a story and worth. “Dignity thrives in relationships.” This week, take time to reflect: • Who might I be overlooking? • Do I avoid people or places Jesus intentionally sought out? • When did I last slow down to listen to someone’s story? • How often do I serve someone who cannot repay me? • Have I unintentionally treated someone as a project? Ask Jesus to help you notice someone, listen with humility, and make room for genuine connection. KEY SCRIPTURES Luke 16:19–31 Mark 10:45 Psalm 82:3–4 Isaiah 1:17 Luke 15:1–2 Mark 2:15–17 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45, NIV #HandsAndFeet #TheArtOfServing #ServeLikeJesus

    3. Be Available

What if the interruption you didn’t plan for is an invitation to serve? In Week 3 of Hands and Feet, we explore what it means to Be Available. Through the story of the Good Samaritan and Jesus’ encounter with two blind men, we discover how compassion moves us to notice people, pause, and respond with practical love. Sometimes the problem isn’t that we don’t want to serve—it’s that we haven’t left any room. Being available doesn’t mean saying yes to everything. It means creating margin for the people and opportunities God puts in our path. This week’s challenge: • Plan to be available. • Say yes to one interruption. • Respond with service instead of annoyance. • Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone. Key Scriptures: Mark 10:45 Luke 10:25–37 Matthew 20:29–34 What is one way you can make room to serve someone this week? Share in the comments. “Jesus, help me become available for whatever—and whoever—you put in my path.” Make room. It is worth it. Subscribe for more messages from CLife, and share this teaching with someone who could use this reminder. #HandsAndFeet #BeAvailable #CLife

    2. Hidden Service

This week we’re talking about Hidden Service—serving others without needing recognition, applause, or even a thank-you. Jesus teaches in Matthew 6 that the issue is not whether people ever see us serving. The issue is why we want to be seen. Hidden service gives us an opportunity to examine our hearts and ask: Why am I serving? Is it out of love? Do I need recognition? Can it be enough that my Heavenly Father sees? In this message we explore: • Why our motivation matters when we serve • The difference between being seen serving and serving to be seen • How hidden service develops humility and freedom from approval • Why unnoticed by people does not mean unnoticed by God • How serving secretly can become a powerful spiritual practice Jesus said: “Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:4 This week, take the challenge: Do one intentional hidden act of service. Meet a need. Ease someone’s burden. Make their life a little easier—and don’t tell anyone. Then pay attention to what happens in your heart and allow Jesus to use that moment to shape you. Hidden service is never really unseen. #HandsAndFeet #HiddenService #Serving #ServeLikeJesus #CLife #CommunityLifeChurch #Matthew6 #FaithInAction #ChristianLiving #Jesus #SpiritualFormation

    1. Love & Service

What does it really look like to serve like Jesus? In Week 1 of our new series, Hands & Feet: The Practice of Serving, we look at one of the clearest pictures of service in Scripture: Jesus washing His disciples’ feet in John 13. Jesus didn’t just SAY He loved people. He SHOWED it. Serving in the way Jesus served always comes from a place of love. It means willingly meeting practical needs, helping carry someone else’s burden, and sometimes choosing to serve even when it costs us something. Jesus said: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45 NIV This week, we have two simple challenges: Do one small act of service every day. Sign up for one Serve September project. Start where you are. Start today. We look most like Jesus when we are serving. #HandsAndFeet #PracticeOfServing #LoveAndService #ServeLikeJesus #ServeSeptember #CLifeChurch #ChristianLiving #FollowingJesus
