    I'M BAAACK

    What's up guys?! My long awaited return is finally here. Welcome back (or to for first time listeners) Heard. In this episode, I talked about where I've been, what I've been up to, and why I took a break. I basically give you guys the inside scoop on what life has looked like for me the last couple of months. I also take a look back and what happened on previous episodes and kind of the direction I'm wanting to take things in now. I hope everyone is excited for some of these new changes because I am very much ready for everyone to feel truly heard!

    ¿Hablas Español?

    I've been bilingual my entire life, but not always proud of it. In this week's episode, dive into my origin story and where I come from. Learn more about me as I share how a learned Spanish, why I am proud of being able to speak Spanish, and the experiences that come with being bilingual. While being bilingual has its benefits it also comes with its difficulties. I highlight some of the challenges in this episode as well. I also share my recommendations to better your foreign language speaking abilities.

    Communication & Technology

    In this episode, I dive into the reality of having a meaningful conversation over text message. I also elaborate on how technology has shaped the way we communicate as a society and how it affects relationships. Nowadays, most people feel more comfortable trying to resolve situations and deliver news over text which most of the time ends up being misinterpreted. I also discuss my preference over text and why I prefer it most of the time. Lastly, I discuss the number one topic I choose to completely avoid not only over text but face to face as well.

    Being vs Feeling Heard

    In this week's episode of Heard, I talk about the difference between just being heard and actually feeling as if you were heard. In today's society, you have listeners, speakers, and or a balanced mix of both. Get more of an inside perspective on conversations through my eyes...or more so the listening side. Constantly, doing the listening but never being heard gets pretty exhausting so I have made it my personal mission to be the balance of both. I also share how I am feeling unheard in the workplace which has been a constant struggle for me since I first arrived.

    Hey everyone! Welcome to the first episode of my new podcast: Heard. This week's episode gives you insight as to who I am and why I am starting this podcast. My life has been a whirlwind of people ever since I started working in the service/hospitality industry and I'm excited to share some of my experiences with you guys. I hope you all enjoy this first episode as much as I enjoyed recording it, and here's to starting this new journey!
