Fiona also enjoys creating her healing garden, looking after her son's many dogs, bowling and time at home with family and friends.  A bit from me about my work - My driving passion and purpose is to make everyone aware that experiencing stress, anxiety, depression and a whole range of negative emotions is about being human and a lack or gap in our education leaves us powerless to work with ourselves to achieve our best experience of successfully being human. All my work and writing looks to address this gap in our education so a successful rather than stressful life becomes a real choice for all of us. This podcast is a place for you to access the extensive library of mindfulness based meditations some very short and a some longer but all designed to help you fit them into your life to meet your needs. My meditations, tools and techniques combine mindfulness and the neuroscience to support you through stress, anxiety and the challenges of modern day life.  My latest project is my 'Creating Space Method'. Its  Core Philosophy is 'Creating space within experience, not escaping it'.  This practice is not about removing thoughts or feelings, or stepping away from them.  It is about making room for them, so they can be experienced without taking over. “This is here… and you are here… and there is space around it.”  Core Intention of Creating Space To create space so there is room for being human— without being dragged down by thoughts, emotions, feelings or pressure. Mini Self Compassion for Low Mood from the Creating Space Mindfulness based library

Send us Fan Mail We were never meant to be 24/7 happy and sometimes our mood lowers itself maybe it is a challenge, a loss or maybe we are tired, hungry, in need of a break or maybe that is just the way it is for us right now. This meditation is based on the longer 'Self Compassion for Low Mood' mindfulness based creating space meditation. It is shorter to help you build it into your day rather than have to take longer breaks from your existing routines. It is up to you longer or shorter exercises all benefit and a change starts to happen with 6/8 mins 'meditation' per day. This meditation does not look to solve the low mood but rather help you accept and show yourself self compassion because in this moment that is just how it is for you. The meditation helps you create space and recognise you are not your moods, feelings, thoughts and emotions and allowing space allows the possibility of hope, strength and optimism moment by moment. Your identity is separate untouched by the human experience if we allow ourselves to tune in to the moment, moment by moment. This is the first of your 'Three Keeper Habits' helping you build your calm muscle, your confidence and self esteem and use your natural talents and strengths. More about this and the power of your mind in my latest book How to 'Mind Your Gap' between Success and Stress - Book 1 The Three Keeper Habits available on amazon in both ebook and paperback. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1805417584/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1R6T9Y6E7RZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.J3egTII9ErwGaTACYYYCYmFXglcnwNSSSgchxXf4grsdJO4nWGBXFuPYRIMzMVZtGHAE6v4jqPJQSSFtSuG-R0-34e4ttUby_Urk9RQv-_YYUUD65I9r011Nu1NQS9_ml4EnYZt94vCYRra470AuO4sjU5IQ6u3aJ--Tx01z1BBKT1VZmkNMpitshy_SS0rrcbx7A6nqgJj0R7DjaQ_x537CCZWVRaJ9f3dybNHCLOE.X6HpmBjO86WQgm0ryGvt106qgyRVvlJTl_UuuBXj7JQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=fiona+chapman&qid=1759060036&sprefix=fiona+chapman%2Caps%2C132&sr=8

Dealing With Self Criticism Mindfulness Meditation

Send us Fan Mail This slightly longer meditation can also be reinforced as you go through your day by using the Mini version.  This is part of my creating space series which focuses on learning to allow emotions, thoughts and feelings and choosing which can become a major focus and support for you rather than allowing thoughts and feelings to dictate your mood. A strong core message for the meditation is 'A critical thought  or/and feeling is just a thought/and/or feeling, never a fact.' You can notice it, create space around it, and choose a kinder and more balanced response to nurture and support you. We do have a choice it is like going into a supermarket there are aisles of food and we choose (mostly) those foods that we believe are good for us. Noticing your thoughts helps you select, create thoughts that suit you from the supermarket of your mind, other thoughts exist and  notice them then focus on what nurtures, supports you. This is the first of your 'Three Keeper Habits' helping you build your calm muscle, your confidence and self esteem and use your natural talents and strengths. More about this and the power of your mind in my latest book How to 'Mind Your Gap' between Success and Stress - Book 1 The Three Keeper Habits available on amazon in both ebook and paperback. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1805417584/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1R6T9Y6E7RZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.J3egTII9ErwGaTACYYYCYmFXglcnwNSSSgchxXf4grsdJO4nWGBXFuPYRIMzMVZtGHAE6v4jqPJQSSFtSuG-R0-34e4ttUby_Urk9RQv-_YYUUD65I9r011Nu1NQS9_ml4EnYZt94vCYRra470AuO4sjU5IQ6u3aJ--Tx01z1BBKT1VZmkNMpitshy_SS0rrcbx7A6nqgJj0R7DjaQ_x537CCZWVRaJ9f3dybNHCLOE.X6HpmBjO86WQgm0ryGvt106qgyRVvlJTl_UuuBXj7JQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=fiona+chapman&qid=1759060036&sprefix=fiona+chapman%2Caps%2C132&sr=8

Mini - Dealing With Self Criticism Mindfulness Meditation

Send us Fan Mail This is a smaller version of the previous self criticism meditation designed to help you, encourage you to fit it into your day and use it when things feel challenging. As with the longer meditation the core theme is allowing yourself to notice self criticism and create space around it so that you can choose or create thoughts and feelings that nurture you rather than criticise you. Not only helping you choose empowering, enabling thoughts but also to show yourself compassion and recognise it is human to have many thoughts. By creating space we can decide and choose what works best for us. Remember thoughts are just thoughts never facts unless we choose to make them facts. We choose a thought that makse us feel good and urges us forward to act so why would we choose thoughts to make ourself feel bad? Answer because we have not been taught otherwise and this meditation helps you learn a more empowering, compassionate way to manage all those millions plus thoughts and feelings. This is the first of your 'Three Keeper Habits' helping you build your calm muscle, your confidence and self esteem and use your natural talents and strengths. More about this and the power of your mind in my latest book How to 'Mind Your Gap' between Success and Stress - Book 1 The Three Keeper Habits available on amazon in both ebook and paperback. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1805417584/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1R6T9Y6E7RZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.J3egTII9ErwGaTACYYYCYmFXglcnwNSSSgchxXf4grsdJO4nWGBXFuPYRIMzMVZtGHAE6v4jqPJQSSFtSuG-R0-34e4ttUby_Urk9RQv-_YYUUD65I9r011Nu1NQS9_ml4EnYZt94vCYRra470AuO4sjU5IQ6u3aJ--Tx01z1BBKT1VZmkNMpitshy_SS0rrcbx7A6nqgJj0R7DjaQ_x537CCZWVRaJ9f3dybNHCLOE.X6HpmBjO86WQgm0ryGvt106qgyRVvlJTl_UuuBXj7JQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=fiona+chapman&qid=1759060036&sprefix=fiona+chapman%2Caps%2C132&sr=8
