Mannics provides an unfiltered perspective of the world, as seen from the eyes of a Swede and two Portuguese. We rant about whatever subject is on our mind or currently trending. As you probably can understand from the name, we can sometimes be perceived as rude. This is not for the weak-hearted. We do not tip-toe around subjects, we go straight to the point. Even if it might be abrasive at times. Enjoy the ride!

IDMTBR - Episode 11 - What You Need To Know About The Ukraine - Russia War

We are Mannics and this 11th episode is a hot one! Incredibly, Ukraine is still fending Russian offensives. A feud that started earlier this year still does not seem to have an end in sight. We dig in to comment on a potentially intentional "radio silence", Zelensky vs Putin media appearances, some perhaps forced annexation voting and some of the red flags that were there since the beginning.  What do you thing will happen in the near future? Even if Ukraine wins, won't it just be bittersweet? Will the country be too debilitated after all the bombing it has suffered to hamper its economy for decades to come? Let us know what you think! IDMTBR - Episode 10 - Are The Inflation Numbers Real & Falling Life Standards

We are Mannics and welcome to our first doubled digit recording! Money as a topic is back on the table as we discuss inflation and how it affects our present and future lives. We discuss questions like:  - How much money do we need to have saved until retirement for a comfortable life? - What is the real value of inflation - What can we do to protect our hard earned money from it? Do these questions even have an objective single answer? Seems like such a thing is lot on us in these days and age. Tune in and listen to our take on it and what we are currently doing to stay with our heads above water. We want to know your opinions too! IDMTBR - Episode 9 - Misconceptions About Science | Fallacies & Breakthroughs

We are Mannics and welcome to our 9th session! Today we have decided to make it scientific. And no, we are not actually getting any research done. In turn, we are addressing the everyday "scientists" that got out in social media pushing half baked theories. Our first example is none other than Mr. Mission Impossible himself. Tom Cruise publicly defended his stance on chemical imbalances and their relation to depression and medication. Among other topics, we discuss nuclear energy and how technological advancements keep redefining what we know - in a good way. Listen in on our thoughts and to pay us a visit at mannics.com

IDMTBR - Episode 8 - Is Freedom of Speech Under Attack?

We are Mannics and welcome to our 8th recording!  This freshly baked episode brings you nothing less than our thoughts on freedom of speech. Is everyone entitled to an unfiltered voice or are moderators essential to distinguish what is true from what is not? Have we become too sensitive and too keen to jump in on any remotely divisive topic? We voice our opinions and discuss some current examples (the blue bird set free by the Technoking). How should we seek to make our voice get heard? And when should we sit on the sidelines and simply learn from the experts? Sit down, relax and join our brainstorming. IDMTBR - Episode 7 - Is Body Positivity Toxic?

We are Mannics and welcome to our 7th podcast! Today, we bring you a controversial one. Body positivity and the extended impact it may have on what surrounds us. Should we be accepting of every body shape and every size? Or does it come to a point where perpetuating this is against our own nature? We will debate whether getting plus-sized models into recent marketing campaigns is a social win or a loss for our nature. Is this recent movement a symptom of political correctness and virtual signaling or is it indeed the right direction to go? Tune in to find out our opinion and reflect on where you stand. Feel free to let us know your own!

IDMTBR - Episode 6 - The Impending Danger Of Population Collapse

We are Mannics and we are back for another podcast of insightful content! In this episode, we will bring the idea of underpopulation to the table. Yes, you've read it right, UNDERPOPULATION. We debate the question of fertility among western cultures and the possible causes and solutions to an undeniably declining population in Europe, China, and Japan.  How fast will this happen and to what degree? What are the impacts of a declining population? Is this a cultural problem? Will we humans find a way around it like we always do? These are some of the questions we pose during this session. Tune in to hear our take on it

IDMTBR - Episode 5 - The Consistent Drive To Keep Improving Yourself

We are Mannics and we visited Portugal! The stage is set at Diogo's place. This fifth episode of the I Don't Mean To Be Rude podcast defies learning inertia. We discuss why we believe people stop autonomous learning. Is it laziness? Why do people stagnate? We share some personal views and examples on it and try to give our take on it. The approach is simple: how does learning evolve with our age? When do we stop doing it? In the end, the conclusion is simple. Whatever you tell yourself, there is no excuse to not be curious. Go out there, find something you like and go slay that learning "dragon"!

IDMTBR - Episode 4 - Escaping The Matrix | Finding Your Passion

We are Mannics and we have grown! Meet Diogo, our (now) not-so-new team member. This fourth episode of the I Don't Mean To Be Rude podcast brings back a quite ancient concept: the Matrix. The possibility of living in a simulation. The episode applies the concept of a Matrix to the trap of misconceptions and obstacles we build in our own heads. We reflect on what we believe is the path to freedom and what you can find on the other side. We share some personal experiences in an effort to incentivize you to tear down what is holding you back and break free into a reality where everything (within reason) becomes possible.

IDMTBR - Episode 3 - Abundance Mindset and Building Yourself

We are Mannics. This third episode of the I Don't Mean To Be Rude podcast delves into the art of mastering your own mind while trying to establish what you want and surely deserve. This episode covers topics related to job negotiations, being too agreeable, and being overly polite. We dissect what we believe are the core motives for this inertia associated with standing your ground. Lastly, we address imposter syndrome and how it may affect you and your relationships with the ones closest to you. This is not a podcast where we consider ourselves gurus but instead, it is a constant learning journey that we are embracing together with our listeners as we go. Hope you enjoy this episode!

    IDMTBR - Episode 2 - Consumerism & Budgeting Tips

We are Mannics. This second episode of the I Don't Mean To Be Rude podcast comes in a Christmas theme. This episode covers topics related to financial choices and a consumerist mindset driven by this holiday. We delve into suggestions on how to spend less by putting your brain cells to work. Lastly, we go on about how to manage one's finances, the concept of inflation, and how you can protect yourself from it.  This is not a podcast where we consider ourselves gurus but instead, it is a constant learning journey that we are embracing together with our listeners as we go. Hope you enjoy this new and (audio) improved second episode!
