    St. Vincent & Steak Bites

    Bill Murray, stuck in his own world that seems to be falling apart befriends a young neighbor boy who moves in with his single mother. Bill's character teaches the boy how to grow up in a harsh reality of bullies, horse racing, and living alone.  We loved this movie! We paired it with steak bites with a side of rice, sautéed mushrooms, onion and garlic.  We read one-star reviews while also talking about our new fantastic cookware set from Greenpan (Reserve Edition).

    IMDB.com states, "A boy seeks the help of a tree monster to cope with his single mother's terminal illness."  Join us this Friday as we prepare an amazing meal, Farfalle with Mushrooms and Cheese, while reviewing a delightfully heart wrenching and exciting tale of a child and a monster (Liam Neeson) as they work together to understand the challenges of life, love and loss.  Farfalle with Mushrooms and Cheese is a dish that's near Brian's heart as this was a meal first tasted with his daughter. This meal can be prepared with or without meat or you may add seafood. The craziness is when you begin to color the farfalle with either spinach (green), tomatoes (red), and the amazing squid ink (black) version.     Breach & Tagliatelle with Bolognese Sauce

    A throwback to Roman Era cuisine mixed with Greek and Italian heritage. Tagliatelle with Bolognese Sauce in red wine is the perfect combination for our pairing of the new-ish Bruce Willis flick, Breach. From below average acting, funny Sci-fi scenes and comically dressed actors, this episode we learn how to laugh at the cringe-worthy and retreat to our Roman days as we dine like warriors. Join us as we go over the latest reviews where 1 star and 10 star reviews have commonality.  Tagliatelle is a flat, medium length, noodle in Bolognese (meat) sauce in a red wine reduction, making the meal sweet and savory. A nice hard bread with butter completes the dish and helps to take your mind off whatever's happening on screen.
