How Do I Give Myself Grace When I Feel Inconsistent?

Today I’m responding to a question from one of you about inconsistency, and how to give yourself grace when you’re not showing up the way you want to. This episode is for anyone who’s been feeling like their capacity isn’t what it used to be or like there’s a quiet pressure to “get it together” that you can’t quite meet right now… We’re not trying to fix anything here. We’re just aiming to gently understand what might be asking for your attention, and what it could look like to meet yourself differently. This episode may resonate if you are: feeling inconsistent or frustrated with yourself for not showing up the way you normally domoving through a season where your energy, focus, or capacity feels differentholding yourself to expectations that feel harder to meet right nownavigating anxiety, grief, burnout, or emotional overwhelmused to being dependable, productive, or “on top of things”—and feeling off from that version of yourselflearning how to listen to your body instead of pushing past itwanting to build self-trust in a way that feels gentler and more sustainableIf you’re finding that this is something you’re navigating, I offer one-on-one sessions where we can gently explore what’s coming up for you and what support might look like in this season. You can find more information at srlwellbeing.com (linked here in the show notes). And if you have a question you’d like me to respond to in a future episode, you can leave it in the comments or email me at hello@srlwellbeing.com. This is a space we’re building together. You’re being asked to meet yourself differently, and that, in itself, is a kind of consistency.   We get to reclaim and rewrite what consistency looks like for us. The Embodied Yes: Guided Meditation for Clarity, Intuition & Nervous System Support

You know those moments when you're trying to make a decision, but something inside you just feels hesitant, foggy, or unsure? This episode was made for exactly that. The Embodied Yes is a guided meditation for coming back to your inner knowing when mental clarity feels out of reach. Instead of forcing an answer, we slow down together, settle the nervous system, and listen to the quieter signals your body is already sending—the ones that get drowned out when we're in our heads. We're not looking for a dramatic sign or a sudden realization here. We're just creating enough stillness for what's already true to come forward on its own. This meditation may feel supportive if you’re: feeling mentally foggy or overwhelmed by a decisionnoticing tension between what your mind wants and what your body feelsburnt out from overthinking and craving a softer way throughwanting to deepen your relationship with your own intuitionSave this one to a playlist for the moments when you need to find your way back to yourself. Steadying the Ember: Spring Energy Reset for Overwhelm & Transition

This episode begins a new rhythm inside Soft Alchemy: seasonal energy resets. Think of them as collective resets we’ll return to throughout the year at the edge of each new season. They’re moments to pause, take stock, and gently ask ourselves what the season is asking of us. Today we’re talking about spring and why this time of year can feel confusing before it feels clarifying. We also explore the larger energetic context we’re moving through right now—the Year of the Fire Horse and a Universal 1 year in numerology—and why this season is less about dramatic reinvention and more about small, honest commitments. In this episode, we explore: why spring can feel disorienting before it feels energizingthe Ayurvedic idea of “the melt” and how Kapha season moves through the bodywhy sensitive people often feel collective moments so intenselythe Year of the Fire Horse and the seed energy of a Universal 1 yearwhat it looks like to cultivate a sustainable fire instead of burning yourself outthe practice of moving honestly instead of quicklyA few reflections to carry with you What part of you is ready to reawaken? Where are you still thawing? What wants more space in your life right now? Where in your body do you feel expansion — even if it’s subtle? And where do you feel contraction?Spring shows up in small shifts: a cracked window, a spoken truth, a single steady decision. This week, your practice is simple: reflect on these questions. Perhaps you journal about them. Then, choose one thing to complete, or one thing to finally let go of. Additional practice suggestions Declutter one small space and notice how your breath changes as you clear. In Ayurveda, clearing physical space helps move stagnant Kapha.Move your body for ten minutes to activate circulation. Gentle movement stirs prana, your life force, so what's been heavy can begin to shift.Drink something warm when you wake up. Warm water, lemon water, tea. Warmth first thing gently kindles agni, your inner fire.Let one thing remain unfinished this week, on purpose. Completion is sacred, but so is restraint. Sometimes leaving something open is how we remind ourselves that not everything has to be done right now. It's also how we push back against the idea that rest has to be "earned." On the Verge of Blooming: Guided Meditation for New Beginnings & Inner Transformation

As the warmth of spring nears, I wanted to offer a practice that meets this moment of awakening—but one you can return to in any season. On the Verge of Blooming is a guided meditation for moments when something in you is quietly changing. It's a somatic meditation and embodiment practice designed to support nervous system regulation, gentle emergence, and inner transformation during times of transition. This meditation may resonate if you're sensing movement beneath the surface but can't yet name what it is. During this full 30-minute practice, we settle into the body through grounding breathwork, somatic body scanning, and gentle visualization—listening for where change is already present and allowing the nervous system to soften at its own pace. There's also space woven in for your intuition to speak. This practice may feel especially supportive if you're: standing on the edge of a new beginning, even if you can’t name it yetnavigating uncertainty, transition, or quiet internal changefeeling pressure to “figure it out” or move faster than your body wants tolonging to trust your timing and soften into what’s unfoldingseeking calm, grounded intuition rather than activation or urgencyReturn to this practice whenever you need to remember: you’re allowed to bloom on your own schedule. The Thaw Before the Bloom: On Delays, Timing & Transformation

I recorded this one while inspired by that late-winter pocket just before the season shifts, where warmth starts flirting with you after the long stretch of cold, and something in you begins to wake up—almost like spirit saying, "not yet… but soon." This episode is a reflection on the thaw before the bloom, where momentum is building beneath the surface, delays can feel frustrating, and where you’re being asked to keep tending the seeds you've sewn, even when they haven't sprouted yet. In this episode, we explore: expansion and imposter syndrome as your nervous system catches up to your growthwhy delays are spiritual preparation and not punishment“not yet, but soon” energy and where it lives in your lifewhy winter isn’t a movement season, but a tending seasonhow late winter lives in the bodyhow to stay grounded before visible proof of transformation arrivesA few reflections to carry with you You’re welcome to sit with these now, or return to them later—on a walk, while journaling, in the shower, or right before sleep: If your body had a weather pattern today, what would it be?Where do you feel “not yet, but soon” energy in your life right now?Where do you feel the cold—where do you feel like you’re chasing warmth? What might this season be trying to show you that you can’t see when you’re rushing?Does this scare you because it’s wrong… or because it’s new? What would it look like to trust the preparation you’re already in, even if the bloom isn’t visible yet?Thank you for being here. The Quiet Between Things: Guided Meditation for Presence, Surrender & Liminal Moments

When I was reading through my journal entries and shaping the first episode of Soft Alchemy, I kept noticing how often my writing returned to the theme of pausing. I was in a space where many things in my life felt unresolved, life hadn’t given answers, and I was being asked to sit with it all without reaching for the next step. This meditation was birthed from that space. The Quiet Between Things is a guided practice for moments when life feels suspended between chapters and you’re no longer who you were, but not yet who you’re evolving into. It invites you into the liminal space we so often rush past: the threshold, the stillness, the breath before clarity arrives. During this practice, we soften into the body, listen to the wisdom of our breath, and explore what it means to surrender without giving up. This practice is intentionally spacious and simple. There’s nothing to fix, figure out, or perform. You’re invited to let my voice keep you company while your body settles into its own rhythm—breathing, releasing, and remembering that the existence of quiet often means something is forming that we can't yet perceive. This practice may feel supportive if you’re: moving through an in-between season or life transitionfeeling slowed down, paused, or recalibrated by lifelonging to rest without guilt or urgencyneeding a gentle place to land and listen inwardCome as you are, stay as long as you need, and return whenever the quiet calls you back. The Stillness I Didn't Choose: When Life Forces You to Slow Down

Welcome back for the first episode of Soft Alchemy with Stevie Reneé, family.  I recorded this in the kind of season that asks you to slow down whether you want to or not, and leaves you sitting with yourself long enough to notice what you’ve been [unnecessarily(?)] carrying. This is where Soft Alchemy found me: inside a stillness I didn’t choose and a quiet I didn’t know I needed. In this opening episode, I share the story behind Soft Alchemy—how it became a practice, a framework, and a way of meeting myself when everything around me felt uncertain. We explore the difference between rest and avoidance, the armor many of us learn to wear to survive, and what becomes possible when we soften just enough to let truth rise to the surface. This episode is a gentle reflection on: outgrowing former versions of yourselfthe stillness that arrives without permissionlearning to trust quiet seasonsremembering softness as strength — not weaknessIf you’ve been moving through change, release, or an in-between season—or if something in you has simply been craving a slower pace—I hope this can be a place where you feel like you can exhale. A few reflections to carry with you You’re welcome to sit with these now, or return to them later—in the shower, on a walk, while journaling, or before sleep: Where in your life is stillness already happening, even if you didn’t choose it?What might that stillness be revealing about who you are beneath performance or productivity?Where does resistance show up in your body when you try to slow down — and what might it be trying to protect? If you softened just one percent more, what new strength might emerge?Take your time with these. Allow them to walk with you. Welcome to Soft Alchemy

Hey, love. I’m really glad you found your way here! Whether this is our first time meeting or you’re returning, it’s so good to see you. I'm deeply honored to welcome you to Soft Alchemy with Stevie Reneé, an audio-visual podcast and listening sanctuary for transmutation, softness, and return. It’s a space for those of us who are learning how to live more gently, not by bypassing what we’ve been through, but by tending it with care. If we’re just meeting, I’m Stevie Reneé—a storyteller, healing practitioner, and embodiment facilitator. For the past decade, my work has been shaped by one ongoing practice: learning how to turn the hard things I’ve lived through into wisdom, medicine, and deeper presence. Soft Alchemy was born from a question that kept returning to me during a season of deep stillness: What if the parts of us that hardened to survive aren’t the end of our story... but the beginning of our alchemy? Beginning February 1, we’ll return to this altar twice a month to explore that question together. Some episodes will feel like sitting across from me with tea as I share intimate reflections and lived stories interwoven with Vedic wisdom. Others will be guided meditations and gentle practices you can return to whenever your nervous system needs a softer landing. Every episode is an invitation to: settle your nervous systemlisten beneath the surfaceremember who you areIf you’re in a season of transformation, or even just a season of listening, this space was made with you in mind. So take a breath, let your body settle, and welcome home.
