EP. 5 Competition Reality TV & Capitalism

Season greetings comrades, In this episode we discuss some of the impact of consuming media after radicalizing, more specifically competition reality TV. While many consume this type of content without thinking of the repercussions of a society that makes people eat worms for any sense of financial freedom, there is a lot to unpack. Join us only a few days late to shoot the shit and we’ll see you next Sunday? Have suggestions? EP. 4 Mental Health & Capitalism

Hey comrades, Sorry for the extended delay. This is not mentioned in this episode as it was pre-recorded prior to the events that caused much of the extended delay. Join us while we discuss some of the nuances that come with being mentally ill under capitalism. While we do talk some about our personal experiences with our own mental health. Kayla and I talk about who is most impacted by the lack of resources in our country and how the origins of the MH industry are an important factor when considering who may feel comfortable even receiving things like talk therapy if that is even an option that is accessible for them. Capitalisms impact on working class people’s mental health and the restriction of help and the stigma surrounding most disorders adds layers of pain unnecessary to human life. Join us and hopefully you won’t cry too much. Have suggestions? EP. 3 Women are Stupid and I don’t Respect Them

Welcome to Gamer Gate. In this episode we loosely discuss some of the impacts of gamer gate but more directly just the implications and ability for the right, to organize young children (mainly young white boys) online. We have our first guest star Declan, who actively engaged with the communities that sparked the fruition of the online bigotry and hate campaigns. This episode could simply be summed up by the title of the episode. These people exist online but profit off of the real life bigotry that their content facilities and produces. With children consuming the most amount of online media at rapid paces, it’s evident who becomes the target of misinformation. While women as a whole are a large group for these online bigots to attack, white women often share the same sentiments to their counterparts thus making those who aren’t white more likely to face the damage of these harmful ideas. EP. 2 The Nuclear Family

DISCLAIMER: McKahla has some audio problems in this episode. I apologize for any inconvenience and can assure you episode three has been filmed and the issue has been solved. Thanks for sticking through. In this episode we discuss the nuclear family and it’s impact on daily life. The harmful ways the nuclear family prohibits growth, safety, and community is a disservice to only the working class but is integral to the way capitalism runs. Capitalism requires detachment and insecurity of other peoples motives and capabilities. A large way this manifests is through the use of the nuclear family and the pressure for us to confront, societally to it. Not only in a social way, but in an economic and legal way. If you’re interested, stick around and listen. Have suggestions?
