African Melanin Queens.

Goddess Asha Mariama

This Podcast is all about uplifting and encouraging black women as far as letting them know that they are enough. That black women are beautiful regardless of flaws, imperfections and mistakes that we made in our lives. But unfortunately there are a lot of black men and pick me chicks that are out here saying that black women that are independent, single mother's, average, and unattractive women are not good enough to be with high value black men. Well in this Podcast I'm going to pretty much disagree with everything that they're saying. There's nothing wrong with being an independent, dominant, sophisticated, self sufficient, classy, grown, elegant, stylish, and mature woman. And there's nothing wrong with being a single mother, average, or unattractive woman. Nor is there anything wrong with being celebate, practicing abstinence, or being a virgin. This Podcast is all about contradicting all of the pick me chicks and the men in the Manosphree on social media telling black women that they are not enough or worthy of a high valued man. And its okay that these men do not want you. Why women should never give up their masculinity or submit to men that are not worth them? Because with or without a man, you will be just fine on your own. And there is nothing wrong with being alone and building your own business and brand. And you've been in the Queen of your own castle. And if you were emailing me your stories that you would like for me to talk about, or any questions that you have that you want answers to when it comes to things that you are experiencing, please email me at Asha.Mariama01@gmail.com. you can also email me there when it comes to wanting one on one coaching as well. Episode 46- My Pre-conversation with Ama K. Karikari About Silence Pain, Suffering, and Abuse

In this episode, I had a pre-conversation with Ama K. Karikari about silence abuse, pain, and suffering when it comes to relationships, as far as family, romantic relationships, and friendships. She tells her story about what she experienced in her 15-year marriage and the silence abuse that she experienced during the marriage. We talked about the damage of silence when it comes to abuse, pain, and suffering from the people that you love. How can silence mean that you are allowing and giving permission for people to hurt, abuse, neglect, manipulate, and take advantage of you? How can silence be harmful to the point that it affects your self-esteem and how you see yourself? How did she overcome the silence abuse, and get out of the marriage? What was the breaking point that made her leave? How can silence be abusive, and no one think that it is abuse? A little about Ama: she is a TEDxGeorgeSchool speaker, author of Silenced to Soaring, transformational guide, attorney, and founder who helps women understand covert emotional harm and reconnect with their voice. Her perspective is shaped by work with women’s leadership, educational, and community audiences, along with studies at Harvard, Penn Law, and Wharton. It was a beautiful conversation that I wanted to share with my audience when it comes to overcoming adversity, pain, abuse, trauma, and suffering due to silence. The second part is coming soon. I hope you guys enjoy the conversation. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/african-melanin-queens--5161875/support.

Episode 45 - African Melanin Queens: Let’s Start From The Beginning.

In this episode, I want to talk about African Melanin Queens when it comes to starting from the beginning when it comes to our history. When it comes to where our trauma, pain, suffering, being single mothers, assault, and trauma begin. I think that we need to go about talking about our healing and recovery from a whole different perspective. I think that we need to talk about the healing process and recovering from what we’ve been through from the very beginning from where it all started slavery. We need to talk about the history of black women when it comes to everything that we have been through when it comes to our African ancestors women. What they have suffered from during the time of slavery? How all of that has transition to a scarlet letter that black women have been wearing for very long time that we didn’t deserve? We also need to talk about the pain and suffering from not just light skin African decent people, but also dark skin African descent people. This process ain’t gonna be for the faint of parts, because so many people have allow men to define who they are as women. When women shouldn’t be defined by men, we should be defined to ourselves as women as far as who we are, how we dress, our success, as wives, and as mothers. So I hope these upcoming podcast episodes give you all some inspiration, as well as helping you through your healing and recovery as African descent women, regardless of where you are around the world. In this eposide, I had a pre-conversation with Antonio Michael Downing about doing what you love vs what is expected. He talked about what his grandma taught him through reading and music. How instead of him doing what is expected when it come working a regular 9-5 job to writing books, music, and broadcasting. How so many people are not doing what we love due to doing what is expected. We talked about going against the grain and walking to the beat of your own drum. Why do we allow ourselves to be identify based on what other people think about, vs how we see ourselves. How through his journey of self discovery he found who is is and his identity? How the healing and recovery will lead you to who you really are, you purpose, journey, and path that you are meant to be on. Episode 39 - My Thoughts on Sherrone Moore From The University of Michigan Situation.

In this episode, I talk about Sherrone Moore where he had an affair with his assistant, while he was married with three kids. About him getting caught by ordering a Plan B through DoorDash, and the DoorDash person telling the university of Michigan about his affair. And after an investigation, he lost his job, lost his wife, tried to unalive himself and his mistress, and then ended up being arrested and charged. I also talk about the P. Diddy, and the R. Kelly situations, and how these black men that are becoming successful, and dating man Caucasian women end up doing these women the same way they do black women. I also talk about black women’s history when it comes to what we have been through since we’ve been in this country, and how we are still wearing the Scarlet letter because of it. How black women need to accept things for what they are when it comes to black men and what they want, and let them have it. Even though it’s hard to accept things for what they are, sometimes we just have to in order to not go through any unnecessary things that you don’t need to go through. How so many women are single mothers because of our past that we haven’t addressed nor do we talk about. I think it’s time that we do talk about these very traumatic, negative situations that have impacted and affected us as black women for decades. So I really hope that black women take the time to heal from our past situations in order for us to be the queens, princesses, and impressive that we are meant to be versus what everybody else says that we are as far as the scarlet letter.
