Yet sometimes I listen to our culture talk about wrongdoing and wonder whether we still believe anybody is responsible for anything anymore. 38:08 - I believe we've spent decades teaching ourselves that the value of human life can depend upon circumstances—wanted or unwanted, convenient or inconvenient, dependent or independent, inside the womb or outside the womb, healthy or disabled, productive or burdensome. If saying Satan is real makes somebody laugh at me, I could care less. We never have to fear honest investigation because genuine truth will never contradict the God who created all things. She didn’t attack, she didn’t belittle, she simply refused to let truth be bulldozed. The cost? Headlines. Outrage. Social media mobs. Personal attacks. But make no mistake—Jesus is still Lord, even when the world shouts otherwise. God’s design doesn’t expire when society gets uncomfortable. What about you, brother? What will you do when the world demands you sit down and shut up? Will you cave—or will you stand? "Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? It always has, and believe you me, my friend, it most certainly always will. Jesus never promised his followers cultural acceptance. Instead, he promised his presence. And somewhere along the way, I think many Christians began confusing popularity with faithfulness. Those ain't the same thing, bucko. 38:05 - If Christians lose the courage to speak the truth with love, we won't simply change the conversation, we are going to surrender it. And when the church surrenders the conversation, somebody else will gladly fill the silence. The question is whether that voice will point people toward God's design or further away from it than it already has. 47:38 - Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. That verse has become the defining verse of my own life. The gospel doesn’t produce weak men. It produces redeemed men. 43:09 - The greatest man isn’t the one who accumulates the most power. He’s the one who lays down the most love. And if Christian men embrace that vision again, not only in our homes but also in our churches, businesses, schools, and communities, I truly believe with every fiber of my being that we'd witness the beginning of a cultural revival unlike anything we've seen in generations.
