deadlybride Interview | Writing Supernatural Fanfiction Slowly, Then All At Once

Sandra and Kasey sit down with deadlybride, a Wincest fanfic author whose 260+ AO3 works span over a decade of Supernatural fandom devotion. Discover what draws writers back to Dean and Sam Winchester, explore fanfic recommendations from the conversation, and hear how one author's "write slowly, then all at once" ethos has shaped her legacy in the fanfiction community. You can find Liz on AO3 and tumblr. References (notes by Liz): Here was that old wincest rec tumblr that I followed back when I was first getting into the fandom: https://wincestreading.tumblr.com/masterpost. Organized by trope, with fics mostly of the pre-2012ish period, so some may not have made the leap to AO3. Worth going through! Shipper vs. Scholar | Mythology & Fandom with Tsukiyo-7

We’re welcoming back Fede (known as Tsukiyo-7 on tumblr) to the podcast. One of Sam Winchester’s famous phrases, “According to the Lore,” more than likely puts Fede on high alert every time they hear him utter it. Supernatural borrows from religions, cultures, mythology, and languages to build a world that leaves many in the know scratching their collective heads. Fede is one of those people and is here to deep dive into a ton of topics. Get ready to be schooled by one of our favorite fandom friends. There was so much to get to; this is only Part 1 of our discussion. If you want to dive into Fede’s notes and references, here is the doc. Audio Note/Warning: Upon editing this episode, Sandra came across a background noise in Kasey’s track. Unfortunately, she couldn’t remove it. ~~~ We're taking you for a spin in Baby's backseat. From Fan to Creator | Agelade's Journey Into Fanfiction & Original Fiction

Meet L, aka Agelade: a Supernatural fanfic author who's traded Tumblr deep-dives for published original fiction. In this episode, Sandra and Kasey welcome Agelade to explore her writing journey, how fanfiction taught her craft, and why there's genuinely no "right way" to start: whether you're trying your hand at a case fic or jumping into a canon-divergent story.
