    Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Benevolence (1 Corinthians 8:1-13) – Love > Freedom, Zach Hollifield

    In 1 Corinthians 8-10 Paul discusses the issue of Christian freedom and how Christians are to exercise it. He begins in chapter 8 by addressing pagan meat sacrifices and whether Christians should eat them and the considerations that should be in play when making similar choices today.

    Grace Studies – Sin in a Believer, Madi Moore

    In this final grace study, Paul turns his attention to sin within believers–personal sin. What do Christians do with our sin? How do we deal with the fact that we still struggle with sin after being saved? How does the grace of the gospel speak to us in our sin? Madi Moore, a former member of the young adult ministry, walks us through the passage to see just what it has to say about all of that.

    In chapters 5 and 6 of 1 Corinthians, Paul tackles three instances of sin that occur in other believers, between believers, and in within ourselves. In doing so, he not only addresses the sin, but also shows us how grace speaks to those instances of sin that arises among Christians. This first week deals with chapter 5 and sin that occurs in another believer and what Christians are to do when that happens.
