Use code ALIYAH to get (20% off) your first order with our sponsor Jesus in Silver: https://jesusinsilver.com/aliyahHave you ever felt so spiritually exhausted that even praying, reading your Bible, or spending time with God feels difficult?Sometimes we go through seasons where we're on fire for the Lord, spending hours in prayer, fasting, worshipping, and seeking His presence. And then life happens. Our motivation fades, our routines become difficult to maintain, and suddenly we feel distant from the very God we were once so intentional about pursuing. But what if the answer to spiritual burnout isn't always doing more?In this episode, we're talking about how to overcome spiritual burnout, navigate anxiety and exhaustion in your faith, and build a sustainable relationship with God that goes beyond moments of spiritual intensity. While seasons of fasting, sacrifice, and deep prayer are important, our relationship with Jesus was never meant to exist only in those moments. We're called to walk with Him daily, learning to recognize His presence in the ordinary rhythms of our lives.Together, we'll explore the difference between spiritual intensity and longevity, how our own expectations can contribute to burnout, and why it's so important to invite the Holy Spirit into the way we pursue God. We'll also talk about discovering the gifts He's given us, living a life of service, cultivating a lifestyle of worship, and finding simple ways to remain connected to Him throughout the day.Maybe this season isn't about forcing yourself back into an old routine. Maybe it's about sitting with the Holy Spirit and asking Him what faithfulness looks like for you right now.**The goal isn't to maintain a spiritual high. It's to build a life where Jesus remains at the centre, even when the intensity fades.***"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."* — Luke 5:16 (NIV)You don't have to exhaust yourself trying to prove your devotion to God. Learn to walk with Him, depend on His strength, and make room for His presence in every season.

    Have You Counted the Cost?

Have you really counted the cost of following Jesus? Following Christ is more than a confession of faith or a decision we made once upon a time. It's a daily choice to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. Every new day brings new mercies, but it also brings another opportunity to surrender our desires, our comfort, and our will to the Lord. And sometimes, we have to ask ourselves: are we truly willing to give it all up for Him? In this episode, we're talking about the cost of discipleship, what it means to die to ourselves daily, and the humility required to live a life fully surrendered to Jesus. We'll explore the importance of obedience, fasting, self-restraint, and the danger of approaching our relationship with God with a sense of entitlement. Because the truth is, our obedience is not a favour we're doing for God. Our prayers, sacrifices, service, and spiritual disciplines do not earn us His love or place Him in our debt. Everything we have is because of His grace, and even our greatest acts of service cannot compare to what Christ has already done for us. Drawing from Luke 9:23–25, Luke 17:7–10, and the practices of the early Church, we're reflecting on what it looks like to follow Jesus wholeheartedly in a world that constantly encourages us to put ourselves first. This isn't about earning salvation through works or striving to prove ourselves worthy. It's about recognizing the incredible privilege of belonging to Christ and allowing that revelation to transform how we live. New days, new mercies, new opportunities to die to ourselves. "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me." — Luke 9:23 (NIV) May we never forget who we're living for, what He's done for us, and why He's worth surrendering everything. 🎙️ FIND ME IN THE SECRET PLACE Podcast

How to Actually Stay Consistent With God

What do you do when you don't feel like praying, reading your Bible, or spending time with God? The reality is, we won't always feel motivated to pursue the Lord. Life gets busy, distractions pile up, routines fall apart, and sometimes even the simplest spiritual disciplines can feel difficult. But a mature Christian life isn't built on motivation alone. It's built on a daily decision to deny ourselves, fix our eyes on Jesus, and keep showing up. In this episode, we're talking about the art of self-denial and spiritual discipline, what it actually takes to remain consistent in our walk with God, and how to cultivate a lifestyle of communion with Him rather than just another religious routine. Drawing from Scripture and The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, we'll explore the things that keep us from pursuing Christ, including distraction, complacency, discouragement, sin, and the pressure to have the perfect quiet time. But this isn't about doing more to prove our devotion to God. It's about learning to love Him more deeply, making room for His presence in our everyday lives, and remembering who we're running this race for in the first place. You don't need the perfect routine, an hour of uninterrupted prayer, or a sudden burst of motivation to begin. Sometimes it starts with five intentional minutes, a simple prayer, or choosing to put your phone down and turn your attention back to Him. The goal isn't just consistency. It's communion. "Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." — Hebrews 12:1–2 Don't grow weary. Keep showing up. Keep fixing your eyes on the Lamb. 🎙️ FIND ME IN THE SECRET PLACE Podcast #ChristianPodcast #SpiritualDiscipline #ChristianLiving #SelfDenial #FollowingJesus
