    Read With Me,"Noise" Chapter 13

    This week, we are reading chapter 13 titled Empty Vessels Make The Most Noise. In Chapter 12 parts 1 and 2, Mr. Coakley gave us some insight on how he, as a Christian was taught to view money and wealth, that Christians should not seek to be wealthy or we threaten our chance of making it to heaven. Furthermore, he brought to light the worldliness of the prosperity message that is so prevalent in today’s pulpits. The chapter closes discussing the wealth of the wicked and why most Christians are not living in prosperity and how the world’s system and the condition of our hearts plays a part to keep it that way.     Read With Me,"Noise" Chapter 12, Part 2

    This week, we are reading Part 2 of the twelfth chapter titled Is That The Sound Of Blessings Falling?  In Part 1, Mr. Coakley gave us some insight on how he, as a christian was taught to view money and wealth; that christians should not seek to be wealthy or we threaten our chance of making it to heaven, perhaps it is also how many of you were taught as well. Furthermore, he brought to light the worldliness of the prosperity message and the wealthy prophets and teachers that preach it, which is so prevalent in today’s pulpits; it begs the question who do you really serve...     Read With Me,"Noise" Chapter 11

    This week, we are reading the eleventh chapter titled The Power of Standing Still.  The last 2 weeks were spent in Chapter 10, The Distraction of Civilian Affairs, where we discussed how every day living, spouses, children and family life distracts the believer from what’s truly important, spending time with God, and not because family and every day tasks and duties are not important but while focusing on our lives and all that comes with living, we must remember who it is we honor with our lives and that this life should be focused on a spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, He must be the one we are ultimately living for and He we should want to please each and every day. Lastly, If we forsake ourselves by not putting God first, then we are allowing the kingdom of darkness to have its way destroying this world. - a book that gives "a revealing look at how the devil uses distractions to bring about a "great falling away" of Believers."     Read With Me,"Noise" Chapter 10, Part 1

    This week, we are reading Part 1 of the tenth chapter titled The Distraction of Civilian Affairs.  Last week in the ninth chapter, The Rushing sound of hard times, tests and trials, We faced the reality of how hard times, trials, tests and tribulations discourage and distract one from maintaining the Christian walk. No, the Christian path is not for the weak in spirit and faith. Jesus never said it was going to be easy to follow Him, rather he told us that he was persecuted, therefore so shall we for following Him. But, oh the reward at the end of the trek! We are reminded that hard times makes us stronger and trials makes us wiser and in following Him, he is with us every step of the way and no evil can overcome our Savior nor separate us from His love.
