The Becoming You Show with Leah Roling: From Potential to Proof

Leah Roling

The Becoming You Show is your weekly gut-check—an unapologetic space where potential gets proven and false identities die. It’s where the old belief that you’re broken gets buried, and the truth rises: you’re not broken. You never were. What is broken is the system that taught you to doubt your power, outsource your permission, and hustle for worth that was already yours. This podcast is your permission slip and playbook for becoming the fullest version of you. Through science-backed strategies and soulful stories, we disrupt patterns that keep you small and rewire your reality through the lenses of neuroplasticity, belief systems, and self-leadership.But we go further. You’ll hear raw, transformative conversations with world-class leaders, parents, athletes, entrepreneurs, and even teens—proof that transformation isn’t a fluke; it’s a life skill. We blend deep introspection with practical tools, guiding you to choose yourself, own your story, and lead from within. No gurus. No rescue missions. No fixes. Just one truth: You are the breakthrough.

Week one the clutter was in your head. Week two it was in your body. This week it has a face, and it might be somebody sitting at your table this weekend. Here's the claim: unconditional love is what a relationship looks like with the clutter out of it. Love with nothing attached. No terms, no list of things that have to be true first. And most of us are nowhere close to that. Episode 199 goes looking for the conditions. Every one of us carries an unwritten rulebook for how the people we love ought to behave. If he loved me, he'd notice. A good son calls on Sunday. We measure people against it. We get genuinely hurt when they break a rule in it. They never signed it. Most of them have never seen a page. But the deeper piece is this. Your love is not something that gets handed to you. Nobody delivers it, nobody can put it inside you. The love you feel is the love you generate. Which means a condition is really a rule about when you'll allow yourself to feel love. And it means you're the one going without while you wait for somebody to meet terms they don't know exist. In this episode: why we install conditions in the first place, and why the requirement always moves. The difference between an unwritten rule and a broken promise. Four ways to hear your own conditions, including the one nobody catches. And what to do when somebody in your life genuinely isn't going to change. This isn't an episode about boundaries and it isn't telling you to stay. You can love somebody and still leave. What we're after is the judgment you're carrying in order to love them at all. Learn. 198. 90 seconds. That's all it takes

There's a difference between organizing something and getting rid of it. We know that about a garage. Most of us have never once applied it to a feeling. Episode 198 is the second in the clutter series, and it's the heavy one. Leah covers both halves of emotional clutter: the weight you're already carrying, and the weight you refuse to pick up. The first half is the emotions that run quietly in the background for years. Worry. Overwhelm. Frustration. Disappointment. Discouragement. None of them dangerous on their own. All of them expensive together, and most of us are treating them like personality traits instead of choices. The second half is the one nobody talks about. You feel something, and before you've felt any of it, you're already doing something to make it stop. Buy. Scroll. Clean. Fix somebody else's problem. Reorganize the pantry at eleven at night. That's where the pile in your guest room actually came from. We over-consume because we under-feel. And then the part that costs people their lives, not just their closets: most people don't fail at their dreams. They fail at feeling, in their efforts to get to them. The dream isn't too big. There's a feeling on the way there you haven't agreed to have yet. In this episode: why containment isn't processing. The ninety seconds a feeling actually takes. What buffering looks like when it stops being a reaction and becomes a routine. And the two questions worth sitting with this week. Learn. Live. Lead. You learned the frameworks. 197. The Sentence that is running your life

Most people don't lose their life to a catastrophe. They lose it to a sentence. One they made up in about a second, and never went back and checked. Episode 197 kicks off a five-part series on clutter, and we're not starting in your garage. We're starting in your head, because this is the one that runs underneath everything else. Leah walks through the sequence your brain runs on every event, and the space almost nobody was taught to see: the space between what happened and what you decided it meant. You'll hear a client who asked for exactly what he wanted, got it, and still felt terrible. You'll hear what Leah's own brain served up when her son left for college and didn't text back. And you'll get one question you can use this week to tell a fact from a sentence you've been treating like one. This isn't about thinking positive. It's about finding out which of the two things you're actually upset about. In this episode: why a Saturday spent cleaning the closet never holds. The one question that separates fact from story. The three places your own sentences are hiding. And why the thought isn't what takes people out, the proof it manufactures is. Learn. Live. Lead. You learned the frameworks.
