    Shaun Flores- My story of OCD can be someone else’s healing

    Have you fulfilled ideas regardless of the negative cost to you? Has speaking about your story helped you? Is there a side of OCD that nobody talks about? In the fifth episode of season 8, we were joined by OCD advocate, Shaun Flores, to speak about his advocacy work in this field. Shaun grew up with a bedrock of ideas which he fulfilled despite the cost this brought him. That cost was his constant pursuit of achievement, while not being satisfied by such achievements, poor mental health and ultimately intrusive thoughts. Yet, since his diagnosis of OCD, he wants to use this to raise awareness of this disorder and for his story to be someone else's healing. Through the conversations he has had and the articles he has written, this has made a massive impact in the advocacy space and has helped plenty of individuals.     Emmanuel Onimowo - Powerlifting is all about you versus you

    How would you describe your passion? Why do we let go of good habits? Do you need help to pursue continuous progress? In the fourth episode of this season, we were joined by powerlifter, photographer and business owner Emmanuel Onimowo to speak about his passion for powerlifting. Emmanuel has many passions, but the primary one is powerlifting. The first time he went to the gym with his brother, it ignited a flame within him to pursue this sport and pursue continuous progress within it. He has been able to compete in competitions and achieve outstanding totals in his squat, bench and deadlift, and he is focused on competing in future contests. And yet, amazingly, he's still able follow his other passions, including architecture, photography and his clothing business. Emmanuel is an individual defined by focusing on the process over the destination and was an absolute joy to interview.     Adalyn Smith - Pursuing APD advocacy to the fullest

    Have you found it hard to find what you love, despite the judgment of others? Do people lack education, or do they lack empathy? What does being an advocate look like? In this great podcast episode, we were joined by APD advocate Adalyn Smith. Adalyn grew up during her early years, struggling to understand why she found it difficult to understand people’s instructions and follow things at school and other day-to-day regularities. When she was diagnosed with an auditory processing disorder, it clarified her struggle and how she could manage her condition. It isn’t easy living with this condition, which Hamish knows fully of as he has the condition, but they have found ways to use their platforms to highlight this condition. From doing her first post back a few years ago to being a regular speaker on podcasts and live streams, Adalyn has grown as an individual and an advocate for those with the condition.     Amanda Lynn Baez - I put my all into comedy

    Have you ever gone through an identity crisis? What has held you back from pursuing your passion to the fullest? Do you struggle to cherish who you are and your roots? In the last episode of season seven of this great podcast, we were joined by entertainer, actress and comedian Amanda Lynn Baez about why she puts her all into comedy. Amanda was born an entertainer, yet something was holding her back. She would go through an identity crisis in her early years where she didn’t know who she was and where she came from. Amanda was a person without an idea about what she wanted to bring to this world of passion. Yet, when going to university and picking up a class, that was when her journey into comedy truly started.     Michael Anthony - I want to end generational trauma in my lifetime

    How would you describe the Pursuit of YOUR Passion so far? Do you know the difference between self-care and taking it easy? Can you use fear for good? In the fifth episode of this great podcast, we were joined by trauma coach and podcast host Michael Anthony to understand why he wants to end generational trauma through Think Unbroken. Michael has had an upbringing that no one would want, even their worst enemy. As a survivor of child abuse, growing up in an abusive family, and between the guns, drugs, crime, and poverty, he seemed destined to be another sad statistic. He went through all of the emotions of a human, the good and the bad, as he faced many obstacles in dealing with addiction and abuse. Yet, he turned his life around six years ago by no longer playing the victim of his life but deciding to be the hero of it. Now, he helps others go from broken to unbroken through his coaching and podcast that shares his stories and wisdom for others to follow.
