    S4Ep2: Journal/Book Series- Give Thanks and Praise

    In this episode we continue to finish up the last chapters of my wife's book "The Light Through the Darkness," and this week it's the last of the "The Tools" that are we speaking on "Give Thanks and Praise." We talk about what happens AFTER you pray and still find yourself in the waiting period. Where you STILL might not see any change. Where you might look to God and ask "What is taking so long?" Being in "the wait" is anything but comfortable... and is a place people don't want to be in and especially not when dealing within the trials of marriage. However, our Father in Heaven has given us clear instructions... but we sometimes overlook it and see it as being too "easy." And we then deprive ourselves of the very peace that comes with giving thanks and praise while in the trial. We pray as you listen to this episode, it will open your eyes to the peace that is waiting for you on the other side of the devastation and pain your are experiencing in the now.     S3Ep7: Journal/Book Series- Happiness is Within You

    Welcome back to the Show Up & Show Up Podcast! Simply put in this episode we talk about how happiness is within you! So many times in marriage/relationships we look to our partner to "make us happy" and that thinking sets you up to be let down and disappointed. You give away your own power when you look outside yourself for happiness. Other people won't and can't "make you happy" 100 percent of the time. That is way too much pressure to put on your spouse/significant other because at some point they are going to miss the mark and let you down, even if they are trying hard not to. Truth be told "Happiness" comes and goes, but true JOY is a Fruit of the Spirit and is founded in our love for our Savior Jesus Christ and His love for us! You can have JOY even in the darkest of times because His perfect love never fails. I (Michaelle) learned this very valuable lesson as I was going through some of the darkest times while dealing with the infidelity in our marriage back in the day. And once I learned that true joy and happiness could dwell within me no matter what I was going through, it changed my perspective and expectations on "happiness" tremendously! We hope this message resonates with those of you struggling with this concept and trying to find happiness amongst the pain you might be going through.     S3Ep6: Journal/Book Series- Get Out of the Boat

    In today's episode we are talking about stepping out on faith. We read an excerpt from my journal (Jan 2021), where I'm at my wits end dealing with Jevonne's lies and shenanigans regarding his infidelity. I was struggling with being "still" and called upon my Father in Heaven to SHOW me what I needed to SEE in that moment. We also read excerpts from the chapter, "Get Out of the Boat" from my wife's book, "The Light Through the Darkness." And I talk about my struggle with getting out of the boat to finally trust God fully, and have faith that He could (and would) love me, forgive me, and show me the grace I needed to lead me out of my own indiscretions and hell I had been living in and putting my wife through. Having faith and "getting out of the boat" looked different for the both of us... but it was KEY to the transformation that ultimately came to us individually and as a couple for the restoration and renewal of our marriage.     S3Ep5: Journal/Book Series- What You Feed

    In today's episode we are talking about the energy you feed. When going through infidelity (or any trial in marriage for that matter) we need to learn how to focus our energy on the things of God rather than allow our thoughts to keep us in a place of negativity and darkness. Today I will be reading a journal entry that is much different from those that I've read thus far... and the excerpt from my book, "The Light Through the Darkness" gives more detail on how what we focus on we get more of. When we sit in the "muck" and allow our thoughts to focus on the negativity, we will continue to stay stagnant rather than progress forward. And one thing is for sure, the adversary loves to bring us more pain and negativity. We pray this episode will help those of you that find yourselves sitting in the negative space in your mind, dwelling on and replaying the negative thoughts, will find your way out by focusing on the light our Savior Jesus Christ can provide-- even while sitting in the darkness.     S3Ep4: Journal/Book Series- Letting Go

    In today's episode, it's all about letting go and letting GOD fight your battles! It's easy to "say" that we're going to let go and let God handle it, but it's a whole different ballgame when you start putting the words to action. It's not as easy as it seems and takes consistent faith to really let go. I'll be reading an excerpt in the section "Letting Go" from my book, "The Light Through the Darkness," and a journal entry from January 2021 when I realized how to finally give everything over to God, take the focus off my husband, and solely start to focus on me. Because that is the only way that you will truly be able to start the healing process and completely let go.     S3Ep3: Journal/Book Series- Fight the Right Way

    Today we're going to show you a little more about what healing "looks like" as we read another entry from my journal (2021) and an excerpt from my book, "The Light Through the Darkness" where I talk about how I learned to "Fight the Right Way." In this episode I share my real feelings around "being enough" and my fears as to if Jevonne would ever choose to "change" in order to save our marriage. We talk about how sometimes being SILENT and STILL is the ultimate clap back! And how I chose to move when others tried their hardest to come in between us, destroy all that we had built together and what we were working hard to repair. We hope what we share in this episode will help those of you going through something similar and show you that anything is possible with God! If you both put Him first, ask Him to fix what's broken, proceed to do the work, then give it over to Him... He will be in the background working it out for your good- even when you don't SEE or FEEL Him working.
