Shout Out Fight Podcast #158 "Self respect is his world title - Tyson Green!"

Hello Again Fight Fam! This week on the podcast I got to have a chat with multi time Canadian National Muay Thai champion from Alberta Tyson Green! Tyson isn't just a multi sport athlete, but a ALL SPORTS athlete with a thirst for competition - but as fighters know, their's no high like winning a fight! which had Tyson naturally gravitate to combat sports. I have known Tyson for 12-15 years if not 20, I have seen him both win big fights and loose big fights, so with these things I combined - i was really looking forward to this podcast! I personally call Tyson "The Modern Day Samurai" - he has never said no to a fight, nobody gets his respect in the ring - it will have to be earned, and he's coming to fight, PERIOD! I gotta tell ya - along with that fight style comes a similar podcast syle! Tyson held no punches and mixed no words when it came to this chat. We break down his INSANE barnburner with Cody Jerome, we talk about growth through fighting, life after fighting, we talk about some of the frustrations around growing the sport in Alberta and of course we talk about the "I WANT TO THANK ME!" speech which I personally loved and explain why. Very few people on this podcast shoot from the hip like Tyson! I admit their's a few times I didn't even know how to respond haha. This man is a warrior through and through, mix that with some charisma and a lil frustration and you have a helluva podcast! SHOUT OUT TO YOU TYSON!!

Shout Out Fight Podcast #155 - "A man and his Dog - Mr. Eddie Farrell"

WELCOME TO 2026 PODCAST FRIENDS! ** again.... I am still trying to fix my audio issues, it's driving me NUTS!! but immediately after this podcast, I spent 3 hours getting to the bottom of it. since using a new program I have been having issues, BUT I AM CONFIDENT THAT IS NO LONGER - in this case it was a blessing in disguise as the echo in the first minute goes away once the audio frigged up.. I just ask for a lil patients. ON TO THE PODCAST Today I got to bring in the New Year with world Muay Thai champion, international coach & gym owner, Mr Eddie Farrell from Australia. If you follow Muay Thai on instagram - their's a good chance you know who Eddie is! Eddie has travelled all over the world fighting all styles of combat including Muay Thai, Lethwei, Kun Khmer and Karate Combat to name a few. Eddie and his family have lived the Muay Thai lifestyle fighting, training, coaching around the world including Australia (home), Thailand and Mexico. But recently has decided it time to plant roots again at home in Australia where he is building a new gym as I write this! We talk about how Eddie decided to around the world, the quick pivot needed when cov!d struck, the difficulty they had running a gym in Mexico and why it was time to go "home". Eddie also talks about having a few fights left in him before hanging up the gloves and getting set to close that chapter on his life. As this has been a popular topic on the podcast, it was refreshing to hear a fighter's fighter talk about it logically and from what it sounds like - being truly comfortable and ready to leave it behind him when it's time. I totally admit, Eddie is a big, scary, stoic looking fella - i wanted to ask him for a while now but was nervous. I grew a pair over the holidays to ask him, and Eddie was gracious enough to give me his time on New Years Day at 6:30am. DEFINITELY A STORY A LOT OF US WANTED TO HEAR! - I had a ton of requests to get Eddie on and we were able to make it happen. SHOUT OUT TO YOU EDDIE!!

Shout Out Fight Podcast #152 "This is my only shot - Karate Combat fighter, Alex Krutskykh!"

Hello Fight Friends! Today I get to chat with a man MADE for combat, Karate Combat contender Alexander Krutskykh! -- BEFORE WE START - I don't know what happened, but my Audio shut off 1 min in, so I sound like the guest today haha, oh well, we roll on anyway! I have seen Alex online with his social media, I have seen him fight live on Karate Combat, I met him at the Anuwat Kaewsamrit at my gym - so I figured, "let's chat to him now and get a podcast going!" and here we are! Alex is originally from the Ukraine, so naturally I wanted to know #1 what was it like moving to Canada from so far away, and #2 - Ukraine is well known for it's excellence in combat sports, what was it like going from combat sports every weekend to having to go find competition in Canada. OF COURSE I was very curious about his new home for violence, Karate Combat - but Alex tells an AWESOME story about how he had his 1 shot to prove his worth to the President of Karate Combat, and the conclusion of that "try out", AND having to go an extra round in a fight with a plan to win and propose to his girlfriend at the end of that tilt with gear still on, in front of the whole crowd - WHAT PRESSURE!! haha Some people are teachers, some people are cooks. And some people are simply born for combat - Alex is one of those warriors! it was awesome to hear his journey from Ukraine to Canada and his climb from boxing, Muay Thai BJJ and karate to one of the most entertaining combat promotions out there - Karate Combat! GREAT CHAT WITH A HUMBLE WARRIOR - SHOUT OUT TO YOU ALEX!!
