    S2 E10 | Morbid celebration, the crucifix, and Spirit World NDEs

    Halloween may technically have an origin in a Christian celebration or holiday, but does it still resemble anything close to that origin? Should Christians celebrate it today? Is there any problem with the demonic and morbid decorations that are common even among Christians during this holiday? We discuss this and more during this episode. We also discuss our thoughts on the crucifix and cross, subjects of mixed feelings among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     S2 E9 | Forsaking family? Church hoarding money? Automatic salvation?

    The title is click-baity but those are the topics for today. What are we to interpret about Jesus’s words in Matthew 19:29 where he says those who forsake family “shall receive an hundredfold”? We also discuss the question of whether the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is using its funds in the most Christlike way. Lastly, we talk about whether there is automatic salvation in the case of those without the law. Do they get it for free? If so, wouldn’t the world be better off not having the law so everyone would be saved?     S2 E8 | Why isn’t eternal marriage in the Bible? Can the Church fall into apostasy?

    If the doctrine of eternal marriages and families is as important as we treat it in the latter-day church, why isn’t it found in the Bible? And, further, why does it appear that Christ teaches against it? Can the church, as some believe, become fallen and apostate? Could the Brethren be leading us astray led by corrupt and sinful motives?     S2 E6 | Christ created humans in His image? Deutero-Isaiah in the BOM? We are spiritually dead?

    Did Christ create humans in His image even though he was a spirit at the time of Adam and Eve’s creation? You may think you know the answer and have some quotes to back it up but we’ll dig up some challenges and details behind this question. Deutro-Isaiah chapters existing in the Book of Mormon along with other seemingly anachronistic scriptures certainly present a challenge for faithful, believing members who consider the Book of Mormon a historically accurate book brought forth by the hand of God. We’ll be discussing this as well. And, lastly, are you spiritually dead? What if you’ve been baptized? Still spiritually dead? Wait, can anyone be spiritually alive in this fallen world?     S2 E5 | BOM literally dark and racist? Holy Ghost baptizing Adam? Holy Ghost appearing to Nephi?

    We don’t pull punches on this podcast and certainly don’t in this episode. This week we discuss the much controversial dark/light skin controversy of the Book of Mormon and whether skin tone descriptions in the Book of Mormon are literal or figurative and whether it matters. Also, more generally, we discuss the question of whether the Book of Mormon is racist.  We also have a couple questions regarding the mysterious appearances and supposed manifestations of the Holy Ghost.
