Let’s Talk Rules We Don’t Question

After hearing the recent story involving Nolan Wells, we found ourselves thinking about one phrase so many of us heard growing up: "We come together. We leave together." Was it about safety? Control? Or simply looking out for one another? That conversation led us to something bigger—the unspoken rules many Black families grew up with. The ones nobody ever wrote down, but somehow everyone seemed to know. In this episode, we're talking about the lessons that shaped us, from keeping your hands visible during a traffic stop and "acting like you got some sense," to asking before inviting people over, not sitting on the bed with outside clothes, and making sure you finish your food before drinking your juice. Of course, we couldn't forget the funny ones either: when your mom starts calling your full government name, everybody's auntie can discipline you, and your parents' friends' kids automatically become your cousins. Some of these rules still guide us today, while others leave us wondering if they still make sense. 🎧 Join us as we laugh, reflect, and ask: Which unspoken Black family rules are you still living by? Let's Talk Intentions & Effort

Let's Talk Intentions & Effort How much effort is too much when you're trying to get to know someone? This week on Hey Fave!, we're reacting to two viral videos that had the internet divided—and asking whether these men were being sincere, persistent...or completely missing the signs. First, we discuss the viral voice-note that left people wondering: Was he really wrong, or was he simply expressing himself? We break down what he did well, where he may have crossed the line, and whether the timing of the conversation changed everything. Then we tackle another viral message that raises an important question: When do you take the hint? We explore the fine line between romantic persistence and being creepy, why ignoring someone's silence can become a problem, and whether telling someone to ignore their gut feeling is ever a good idea. Finally, we debate one last question: What's worse—being brutally honest or trying way too hard to explain yourself? Join us as we unpack dating, communication, rejection, and the signals we often ignore. As always, we want to know what you think! 🎧 Watch now on YouTube or listen wherever you get your podcasts. Let’s Talk One Gotta Go! Gospel Edition

Let’s Talk One Gotta Go! Gospel Edition It's Black Music Month, and we're celebrating one of the most influential genres in our community—Gospel music! 🎤🙌🏾 This week, we're playing one of our favorite games: One Must Go: Gospel Edition. But first, we start with a tough question: If one artist and their entire catalog had to disappear forever, are you choosing Kirk Franklin or Tye Tribbett? From choir legends and traditional gospel greats to modern worship leaders, gospel groups, and innovators who changed the sound of Gospel music, we're making some difficult cuts and defending our choices along the way. Who's got the strongest catalog? Which artist had the biggest impact on Gospel music? And which Gospel groups and worship leaders are simply untouchable? We wrap things up by building our own Gospel Mount Rushmore and deciding which four artists deserve a permanent place in Gospel music history. Get ready for some hot takes, tough decisions, and a whole lot of Gospel music appreciation. Business Spotlight: S.
