    Episode 26 - Financial Healing & Wholeness

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THERE IS AN EXPLANATION FOR WHY I HAVE MANAGED MY MONEY THIS WAY… How many of you are not even sure where your habits, behaviours or patterns have stemmed from, yet you know that they have derailed you financially over the years? I was that person, unable to articulate why I couldn't change, beating myself over the head with shame, guilt, and blame for not changing my behaviours with money. Unaware that my past trauma, wounds, papercuts, whatever you wish to call them, have played out in my finances. Financial healing is a journey to wholeness, where we align our mind, heart, and soul. It's not about the destination but the journey at hand where we can hold brave space for our past, present, and future. One of curiosity, not judgment, this work is not about reliving or rehashing what has happened. Instead, it's about holding the paradox of something terrible in one hand and a fantastic future in the other. I share with you my own struggles, so you know you are not alone; we all have our shit and manage money as a reflection. Trauma is trauma, and it doesn't matter if it is a little t or big T. It plays a role in your money. I know, as I used my story as a get-out-of-jail-free card many times and played victim too, but this happened to me. It sure did, but it comes down to our choices regarding how we live because of moving forward. In this episode we will talk about the four lenses to financial healing and wholeness and how IFS - Internal Family Systems plays a role in our money. When we can acknowledge there are no bad parts only protector parts, we can reflect on why they show up and do the inner work to find healing and wholeness. Through this your finances will thank you!  It's time you RETHINK YOUR FINANCIAL HEALTH, keep a look out for my upcoming book that will take you and your finances to the next level!

Episode 25 - Insecurities Linked to Money, Who Knew?

There is a link between money, self-esteem and our financial future; we have been socially conditioned to believe that our work makes us valuable, depending on our role. Creating a link between occupation and identity, and money. To no surprise, we view our self-worth based on our financial standing. Our self-worth is abstract; it cannot be measured, but money can, debt total, bank balances, annual income, and net worth. When our self-worth is based around money, our value can change in a moment; it's shifting like shadows. Too many uncontrollable variables are a rollercoaster of emotions when we link the two. It takes a toll on our mental health, which plays a role in our physical health over a more extended period. We can tie our self-worth to many things, not just our money or job title.  The list is long: our physical appearance and academic success, who our partner is, who our parents are, where we live, and what we drive. It has also been said that people with low self-esteem and a lack of self-love are the roots of unhealthy spending habits and patterns as they seek material things. Materialism promises satisfaction but yields hollow remorse. Society exploits insecurities and generates more through this cycle. How you feel about yourself does impact your bottom line. Make sure to distinguish the order. First, your self-worth is what you believe to be true about yourself and your future. So, if you have a poor opinion about yourself, you won't feel worthy, won't ask for that raise, and inconvertibly, you will experience lack, causing you to lack confidence in yourself.  Do you see the correlation? We take you deeper into this episode and give tips and tricks to empower you to shift your confidence and self-worth so you can live out financially free and in alignment with who you are to your core. Episode 22 - Limiting Beliefs & Money

You have heard lots of buzz about limiting beliefs; you've even worked through some of your own with a counsellor, coach, friends, and family. There is that great quote - "if you believe you can or believe you can't, either way, you are right." Causes of our limiting beliefs develop at a very early age. This is where they begin. Remember me talking about the four filters we see and do life through? These filters are relevant, and it's time that you understand the filters and how you are viewing life from what you were told - that is one filter, what you learned is the second, what you experienced is the third, and from that, you have a belief which is your fourth filter or lens in which you do life. Often time limiting beliefs stem from a negative experience that leaves an impression. Here is an excellent example of the limiting belief I created and manifested in my life. Black sheep, I may have been a challenging teenager, did things the hard way, and gave my parents a run for their money. While my brother was the golden child, I still to this day use these terms. It doesn't mean it is true; I formulated this belief system from seeing, hearing, learning, and then my feelings hijacked all rationale and created this story. That I wasn't good enough, that I was the black sheep, that I wouldn't make anything of myself. My list can go on and on. When left unchecked, they can sabotage our financial future; listen to learn ways to overcome your limiting beliefs so you too can finish well financially. There's more to money than numbers. Episode 21 - Fear & Finances

Fear is relevant in today's world as it surrounds us in all areas, even our finances. Fear in and by itself is not bad; we need fear and anxiety to keep us safe. However, the perception of threat, this "fear," activates the sympathetic nervous system and triggers an acute stress response that allows our bodies to fight or flee.  Remember, as these responses kick in, the brain is flooded with stress hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. This is needed in aspects of our lives, and other times this fear response occurs when there is no danger or intense situation that triggers anxiety. Understanding these responses and how to regulate our nervous system will increase your overall mental, emotional, and physical well-being.  Fear doesn't always present itself with a lack of finances; it is not always about how much money you have. It is about how secure you feel with the money you have. I will repeat this; it is not about how much you have or make. It is about what you do with what you have and the feelings of security it brings you. This was my "aha moment" after my separation.   Fear of finances is not always about lack of funds; it can be many things...listen to learn more as we give you examples, tips and tricks to work through your fear and anxiety regarding money. Including the five "R's": recognize, reflect, rebuke, reframe, and reposition will allow you to break away from fear and finances. We break each of these apart in this podcast and the emotional tapping technique so you can live out your finances in abundance and whole. Episode 20 - Demasking with Cary Kish

I am shaking things up in today's podcast and bringing the male voice to the space with Coach Cary. I am beyond excited to have Cary on the Sharing the Manual Podcast as we discuss demasking. Although men do it too, ladies, he will share with us why, how it shows up for men, and how we as women can support and hold space for the men in our lives, whether our partners or sons or friends. Cary is focused on getting people unstuck and into their greatness. A proud father of 3, he is passionate about serving others in their journey to level up using the perfect blend of mindset, manifestation, motivation, and life experience. Cary takes his pain and brings about purpose; what fans his fire is his passion for serving. He says it best: "I know what it's like to hide behind a mask. Thinking I always have to show my "A game" and look like, I have it all together - while navigating the storm of emotions, insecurities, and life challenges on my own. Then it hit me you don't have to do it alone, and reaching out for help saved my life." Now Cary, your authenticity, emotions, and no-bull-shit approach have drawn me to you and your work. I know your story, and it has touched me many times as you were able to get to the other side. So I wish to start there, Cary; can you share with our listeners your journey of masking up and the pivotal moment when everything changed? Why do men mask up? How it shows up, signs, patterns, and behaviours. What is needed to support the men and boys in our lives? Men face imposter syndrome in all areas of life, which causes us to hide behind a mask; we are afraid to speak and share. So often, if I had listened to the little nudges in my life, I could have prevented a full-blown fallout. Proactive vs. reactive, Often, we are afraid to ask the question as we don't want to hear the answer, or we don't want to ask others as we don't have the answer or imposter syndrome creeps in, making us feel unqualified, fraud, or phoney. Ownership is key to where you are at. It takes back the steering wheel to your life. Awareness, freedom, and the ability to work through when you are ready, getting the right people to support your growth journey. Men, like women, want to feel seen, known and understood. A great way to create space for your partner, child, or friend is to notice something different, ask them, and let them know that you are there to support them in any way: a listening ear, solutions, thoughts, etc. What are the four questions Byron Katie asks: You write down your stressful thoughts and then ask yourself the following four questions: Question 1: Is it true? Question 2: Can you absolutely know it's true?  Question 3: How do you react—what happens—when you believe that thought? Question 4: Who would you be without the thought? Turn the idea around. Wow, thank you for the wisdom that you shared with us today; I know that I was able to pull from this episode and apply things within my own life of raising a teenage boy and what I will take forward in future relationships. Cary's mission is global impact through exploiting his gifts in the service of others. You support people with their transformation by uncovering and using the lessons and skills in their struggles and frustrations to level up and live the life they desire. So how can our followers get in touch with you? Website: www.carykish.com Socials: @carykishcoaching Let's leave our listeners with a mantra of yours "When you pursue excellence, excellence pursues you." I love it; thank you for being on the show today.

Episode 19 - Stop Faking Fine with Dana Lewis

Welcome listeners to today's episode with Dana Lewis, I am blown away by our newfound friends and I can't wait for you to meet her. We connected on Instagram as we both commented on a post about grief. We then realized some similarities, we both are in year nine of being widowed, and raising three teenagers. I believe in divine interventions, and this is it. Wait there is more, she has a podcast called...are you ready for it..."STOP FAKING FINE", ohhhh ladies I did this for years. Dana is here to encourage you not to settle! An author, podcaster, and speaker Dana is all about empowering women to live their best life by replacing their unhealthy patterns and equipping them to THRIVE. She helps high-achieving women manage stress, gain energy, and a better mood and awaken their metabolism. Dana is going to share with us a little about her story as you know me I believe our stories have the power to heal followed by: Why we do it - fake fine that is. How to recognize it. How to retrieve balance again. We don't often know we are doing it and here are some key things to look out for: Always taking the path of least resistance, people pleasing, saying YES instead of NO Crowdsourcing for answers, indecisiveness, asking others for their opinion or validation, and lack of trusting your gut. Keeping so busy with no real purpose, no time in your day to know if there is anything better than fine. Slippery slope as we put ourselves on the back burner. Why do we stay stuck in the fine because we are stuck in our fight or flight response? Cortisone levels are through the roof, we are on autopilot, get her done mode. Don't have the bandwidth to make decisions or to recognize that something is wrong. The first step in the toolbox is to lower your cortisone levels and balance your brain and gut health. This brings focus, clarity, enhanced mood, and energy the right kind that doesn't bring crashes or jitters. This was the secret for me to invest in myself so I could show up better for my kids, and career, and start giving my best YES. This brought balance to all areas of my life. "Stress is unavoidable. The goal is not to be stress-free. The goal is to help support our bodies to manage the stress better" Amazing, you and I can talk for hours about our mental, physical and emotional health. We will have to have you back on the show Dana, can you tell our listeners where they can find you: https://www.instagram.com/msdanalewis/ https://open.spotify.com/show/3J26EZUnK4ncnbranpWjy2?si=e89d7cd3ef5d4def https://widowsdobounceback.com/coauthordanalewis/ https://danalewis.com/ The stressless tool kit is below: https://www.myamareglobal.com/141945/en-us/shop-all https://www.amare.com/et/jxxagu/141945
