    Episode 2: Baby Queers

    Today in Episode 2: Baby Queers we discuss how we each navigated our formative years as “baby queers” and then as blossoming breakers of the binary. We speak openly about our feelings around sense of self and how we defied the binary and stereotypical gender norms through our clothes, playtime, and hair. Through conversation we explore the cultural influence of our respective backgrounds and discuss how familial and societal perceptions of traditional femininity and masculinity often clashed with our intersectional identities as QPOC.  We discuss the maturation of our sense of self into young adult QPOCs and how the lack of realistic and positive representation of folks that looked like us left us to explore our respective identities through our own devices.  We also talk about our permutations of QPOC dating including unreciprocated infatuations and relationships, feelings of unworthiness, and ultimately, coming to the epiphany that being your truest, most authentic self will lead you on a path to your happiest version.
