    Episode 46: Worst Week Ever

    Strap in as Laura recounts the scariest week of her life for Danielle, sharing the rollercoaster ride that was a full week's worth of unlocking scary parenting milestone experiences as Peanut battled multiple respiratory viruses and an especially gnarly case of croup. Multiple trips to the ER, overnight hospitalizations, an ambulance ride, the ever-present parental guilt of not being able to be in multiple places at the same time, and the importance of finding time and space to process the tough stuff in between the moments of chaos. Laura's story has a happy ending, but we can't help but think of the many families who can't say the same.     In this episode we continue to go rogue, and showed up to our call with a list of random topic ideas that we thought might be fun to discuss. This week's winner was: worst sleeping conditions. We really enjoyed listing off some of the worst sleeping conditions we've experienced as people and now as parents; and why they grind our gears so much. As the summer heat sets in, we take turns ranting about the major and minor inconveniences that rob us of our most precious commodity - sleep!

    Episode 41: Dream Weavers

    For today’s episode, we decided to do something completely different… We take turns interpreting each other’s dreams! Laura shares a recurring dream she has had almost every night for the last three and a half years straight, and Danielle will do a deep dive into the vaults of trippy childhood dreams to share one that always stuck with her. Our interpretations come from a combination of cursory Google searches, as well as taking into account what we know about each other. So strap in, because in typical NAM fashion, we will get weird, deep, and very silly!

    Episode 40: Am I Fueling the Fire?

    In this episode we finally circle back to a topic we mentioned a while ago, and one that a few listeners have actually requested. We talk about how we can’t help but wonder if the insane tantrums we catch from our toddlers, tantrums other people report seem to be solely reserved for us, are reflective of the fact that we are their safe spaces, or if we are fueling their fires. There is no easy resolve or concise lesson in this one, just two moms wondering if we're doing the right thing in making so much space for the big emotions of our little ones. We have a feeling some of you can relate!
