Still I will not curse her name

Still I will not curse her name So many days I wrote of hopes and dreams, only to learn itwas all just a charade Upside down where nothings as it seems, until I’m cold Iwill regret everything I paid Were it only money siphoned across our time, one day bygrace of God I could recoup Inside my mind is the scene of the crime, and it plays adnauseum on an endless loop Still I will not curse her name, nor speak it again lest shegain fame, this ends the game I’m editing my mind, rewinding the past and carefully clippingyou out frame by frame Still I will not curse her name Unlike you I will not tell a lie while I grin, I cherishthose memories I’ve yet to make With my grandkids I would not tell a sin, your past regressionsdemand a heavy stake You have made an indelible stain on your soul, whilecrushing the heart that gave you aid For a short term gain you destroyed your goal, on judgementday you’ll atone for the bed you made Still I will not curse her name, nor speak it again lest shegain fame, this ends the game I’m editing my mind, rewinding the past and carefully clippingyou out frame by frame Still I will not curse her name One day my time here will surely close, those coming behindme will read my writing If there’s a lesson to find it’s that I chose, turn theother cheek, it’s not the time for fighting Matters of the heart that flow in one direction, withcunning and deceit lurking in tow Differ little from any other bodily infection, love doesn’tlive where honesty doesn’t go Still I will not curse her name Too much time was spent as it is, money too; time is too preciousto waste on the undeserving Life continues and that chapter is through, just another oneof the pitfalls that keep you swerving Dodge the ones you can, ride out the rest; hope for a happyending that you can share Sort your memories and hang on to the best, keep on hopingfor someone who will care Still I will not curse her name Let it wither Tim Windisch 4 29 2026
