In 2017, Libby Caswell was found dead in a motel room in Independence, Missouri. Police quickly ruled her death a suicide. But her mother Cindy thinks she was murdered — and she believes she has proof the crime scene was staged. Award-winning investigative reporter Melissa Jeltsen dives deep into Libby’s final days, finding new evidence that unravels the official story and threatens to implicate more than just those in the motel room that day. In her search for answers, Jeltsen exposes the web of failures that left Libby vulnerable, and explores how her story fits into one of America’s most deadly epidemics.

Anyway…I like this host and season one was great. Season two was good but some episodes really didn’t have much info. Looking forward to a season three (I hope there will be one!). These topics are important to get out there!
Thought provoking and important

I appreciate all the obvious hard work and intentionality that went into both seasons of this podcast. These cases are not easy to think about and I am sure they were not easy to investigate and produce content about either. Both cases bring up issues that are difficult and uncomfortable in our society. A lot of people consume true crime content rather mindlessly. I have done this myself at times. It is not possible to do this with this podcast. I felt such a range of emotions listening to each season, including sadness, frustration, anger, and a sense of confusion about so many things that do not have easy resolutions. Thoughtful dialogue around topics raised in both seasons needs to continue. There needs to be more discussion and more listening. My heart goes out to the families for all they have been through. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing each season to the podcast audience. I am sure working on these cases impacted all of you as well and appreciate your professionalism and dedication to covering difficult cases involving difficult topics.
Good podcast

I haven’t listened to Seaon 1 yet but Season 2 was well done. It’s frustrating because it’s so obvious what happened and knowing justice is not being served. Thank you for brining this story to light.
An important podcast

This podcast profoundly shares the experiences of abuse victims, their families and even the perpetrators’ experience in each story. It shows the problems in our law enforcement and justice systems and where improvements can and must be made to prevent horrible experiences like Libby or Sandy’s. The only recommendation I could make is sharing how we the audience can help families and victims get justice for their loved ones (call the district attorneys, sheriffs, local government to prompt action on cases, sign petitions, volunteer or donate money to abuse shelters, reporting resources when we witness or experience similar abuses or violence, etc). The more stories we hear, the more we can do to advocate for those who don’t have a voice or who do, but aren’t being listened to.
