Mother’s Justice Show has a mission to increase dialogue in the community about police accountability, constitutional policing and justice. Host, Rev. Harriett G. Walden, has been a vocal advocate for peace and justice ever since she founded Mothers for Police Accountability in 1990. MFPA is an organization that educates and network with other community organizations interested in addressing excessive police and bias policing.

    Nyjat Rose-Akins Discusses Her Judicial Philosophy and Restoring Public Trust

    Nyjat Rose-Akins, a King County District Court pro tem judge currently running for judicial office recently joined host Omari Salisbury on The Mother's Justice Show. Drawing on her unique background as a Jamaican immigrant, HBCU graduate, and former Seattle assistant city attorney, Nyjat shared how her experiences shaped her approach to the criminal legal system.     Alicia Crank Explores The Risks and Rewards of Black Leaders in White Spaces

    Community pillar Alicia Crank recently joined host The Big O on The Mother’s Justice Show for a conversation exploring the complex risks and rewards for Black people who take on leadership roles in environments not originally designed for them. As "Connector-In-Chief" at Crank'd Up Consulting and the Senior Manager of Corporate and Institutional Philanthropy at the Seattle Opera, Crank examined the rise of Black artists and Black female athletes in predominantly white spaces. She also shared insights on her recent selection as one of only five official social content creators for the upcoming SHE Weekend in Las Vegas, hosted by Flavor Flav.
