You Are Well Able (And So Is Your Client)

If you’re doubting yourself in some area of your life, or finding yourself doubting somebody else’s capacity, this episode is for you. This week, Lisa reflects on a conversation from the Menstrual Coach Academy, where a student brought her fears about starting her own menstrual cycle coaching practice. Menstrual cycle coaching can be tender, delicate and deeply personal work, particularly when supporting clients with experiences such as PMDD, endometriosis, PCOS, period pain and difficult menstrual cycles. But what happens when our desire to honour someone’s vulnerability means we begin to see them only through the lens of their struggle? In this episode, Lisa explores the balance between tenderness and empowerment. How can we acknowledge vulnerability, pain and difficult experiences while also trusting in our own capacity and the capacity of the people we support? Lisa chats about: Her recent personal win of joining a new running club Her complicated relationship with sport and exercise over the years Learning to step into your own empowerment and believe in yourself Making space for tenderness and vulnerability without losing sight of your strength Power dynamics in menstrual cycle coaching and facilitation Supporting clients without unconsciously reinforcing disempowerment Empowerment when working with PMDD, endometriosis, PCOS, period pain and menstrual cycle challenges Why sometimes we need the reminder: you are well able, and so is your client Whether you’re a menstrual cycle coach, therapist, facilitator, practitioner, or simply navigating your own self-doubt, this episode is an invitation to hold both truths. You can be tender and vulnerable, and incredibly capable at the same time. 🌷Links and References 🌷 🌻 Doors open soon for the Menstrual Cycle Mastery Collective over at: https://lisadejongcoaching.com/menstrual-cycle-coaching💜 Join the Menstrual Coach Academy waitlist at:https://www.menstrualcoachacademy.com/mentrual-coach-training⭐️ Grab a free course at: https://lisadejongcoaching.com/take-a-course🌿 Join Lisa's Newsletter over at: https://subscribepage.io/ibNdL0Follow Lisa on Instagram over at: https://www.instagram.com/lisa_dejong_coach/Follow the Academy on Instagram over at: https://www.instagram.com/menstrual_coach_academy/Watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@LisadeJongCoach
